Thumbs up for akage14.I agree with this idea.People that have been punished before for "slight" cheating should be known to the public. This way people will keep an eye on them so that they dont do it again.

Why don't you know how the community should benefit?
I think it's very simple:

(Potential) Cheaters, wo think about cheating in the future will scared off, so they don't gonna cheat.
Players who cheat currently, will also scared about it, so they stop maybe before they caught.
So I think it makes the game more fair in total :)

I could imagine that it will encourage light cheating, and endless discussions.

Because when i know i get fined like this for doing that, i could check if it worth it to risk it and also people come on complaining and say why this guy get a 200k fine for this transfer and i got a 250k fine for a similiar transfer etc.

Shouldn't be that list scaring enough for cheaters? -> http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/cheatReport.aspx

That list isn't scary enough at all.

Despite the potential for complaints, I still think it is a brilliant idea.
Just look at the example I gave compared to the real life. People in life could complain that one murderer got 10 years in prison and the other murderer got 15 years in prison, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be open to the public. You can't say that this will encourage people in real life to commit small crimes.

Hmm, you're right.
Maybe it's an idea to make the list anonymous? So people can see what kind of punishments were given, but complaints about reputations and discussions are not possible...?

i personnaly think -am not trying to insult anyone- that there is a bit of a hypocrisy here...

i think what akage is proposing is a mere list of all punishments the GMs inflict.

just a list and the reason for the penalty...

no public courts.

someone mentioned about the reputation and so one... i will still respect someone who got a fine for bidding more than he should cause he learned his lesson. i wont respect someone who has 2-3 and more teams and transfers players...

relax people...its just a list. And i think all of us who are commenting to this post we shouldnt fear to be judged? i hope am right ;)))

I totally agree with your opinion, it could be mine. Thanks for the detailled suggestion

But I want to add one note to the following statement:

last, i want to point out that the idea is not against the GMs' work. it's not because they don't do their job properly, we don't question their credibility. it's strictly on the managers' side, to have a feeling that things are more clear and fair, and knowing your opponents better .

The names of GM's who made the punishment/ban/other do not have to be on the list, so the list cannot be used against them.
