Yep. I've yet to see a successful team carrying just 7 players. Look at any top team and they carry 10-14. It doesn't even make sense to do this as you'd want to be training at least 3 guys a week which is far more valuable then saving a few thousand in salary.

god, at least buy some 1K salary scrubs for scrimmage meat.

As for training, I've seen too many 4K salary 18 year olds with good potential sitting around doing nothing to be surprised.

You should win easily but try to get some bench involved like others have said. You have the home court advantage so I think you will win even if you play PO normal. That will give you some kick to semifinals. You have by far the best starting 5 but your game shape management doesn't exist. If you play your best players 48 minutes a game you won't get results you want to have.

Conclusions:
- Get your bench involved
- Substitutions: Let coach decide
- Foul Trouble: Sit them
- Enthusiasm: PO Normal
- Try to get your main players between 60-70 minutes
- Acquire a couple of players for your scrimmage game to even up minutes
- Your new acquisitions won't get paid until the next season, so don't worry about their salaries...
- Your best players should have GS between respectable-proficient
- ...then you don't have to worry about the bot clean-up
