how can i make sure that my coach will not substitute my trainee in a match?

Additionally, train FT and ST. If they're too low, the coach might substitute them in close late-game situations. I don't know if this is an undisputed fact, but it's based on my experience.

nah should be 3. :D

so 9 players. 4 spots have backups except my PG trainee correct?

so i leave the reserves as blank?

i would for example use the backup PF as Backupp c too, so when your c get injured the coach could still substitute and do it with sense ;)

You can leave the reserves blank, but I've had more luck listing each position's backup also in the reserve role. This prevents weird substitutions when the game is an extreme blowout.

I agree. From my experience, when you have 60+ lead, your trainee will come out last 2 minutes no matter the settings. It happened to me already twice this season with trainee given 46 minutes instead of 48. I had +70 and +72 at the end of those matches.

So, put your backup also as a reserve on other positions.
