At the beginning of last season The Hounds wrote a paragraph about the history of the four teams promoting to Naismith. I've decided to do the same thing for the 5 teams that come into Div. II.3 this season.

Coming from Div. III.4, jk704 is making their D2 debut. Bluejays has been managing the team for 4 complete seasons now. Last season, Piotr Lużyński led jk704 to 22-0, but the streak was cut short when North York H_ L3V3L came back from a 16 point deficit to beat jk704 in the semis. Due to some 'botification' though, jk704 is playing in D2 in Season 25. With three players on their roster with Naismith starter salaries but everyone else worth less than 15k a week, jk704 will probably make some roster moves during the beginning of the season. With a decent sized arena, jk704 really has the potential to bring the ruckus in the Great 8.

It's taken KK Borovo 5 seasons in Div. III.3 to finally be crowned champion and be promoted to D2. They made the playoffs every season they were in III.3. KKB lost only one game last season and it was to the Trenton Golden Hawks, the team they faced in the finals. KKB got revenge and beat the Golden Hawks in three games. pop21 is not a fan of transferring his players. The franchise has been led by the same guys over several seasons, Lovrinšek, Ilkka, Echicht, Coates... the names have definitely become familiar to the people of Borovo, but pop21 is going to have to make a few changes if he really wants to bring the ruckus.

In only two full seasons The Lynx are already in D2. The quickest riser of this seasons promoters. Lynx Arena can only hold 8360 fans, but that's expected with such a young team. Another thing that's expected from such an early promoter is an upset the previous season, but The Lynx only lost 1 game last season. They currently only have 6 players on their roster, and one of them is up for transfer, but The Lynx do have the base for a D2 roster. It's hard for a team to last when they had such a rapid promotion, so I question whether The Lynx have brought the ruckus along on their quick ascent. Gil_P has proven he's a great manager though, so anything can happen.

Grant Raptor spent one season in D3 and now it's back up to D2. GMaster88 has been around since season 8, and has already spent 6 seasons in D2 (6 times more than me). Coincidentally, every one of those seasons, was in Div. II.4. Grant Raptor beat North York H_ L3V3L in the finals to promote. North York, the same team that beat jk704 in the semis. Two things Grant Raptor bring to D2: the ruckus, and a balanced roster with no superstars. They just sold Palemonas Vaitkunskis for 1M, so GMaster88 is probably swimming in cash. Grant Raptor may be hanging around for good this time.

And finally, V.A.W.T. My old rival. V.A.W.T beat me, 6 seasons ago, for the Div. IV.1 championship. They won again the next season in Div. III.3, after upsetting The Black Guys in the semis and then Newmarket West Siders in the finals. Fwinns sank back to earth the next season when he finished 5-17 and lost in the relegation round. He decided to rebuild his team in D3, and after three seasons he's back in the same division, and led by Jordan Lindsey, a player Fwinns drafted in the Season 18 draft, he looks to do something; I don't manage his team so I don't know what. My guess is that he'll bring the ruckus.

I'm just gonna rebuild for now and try to make a sustainable core. Sell my players, start fresh and make a late push for playoffs/ try to stay up. Now's a good time to sell! Also, i'm probably gonna suffer from attendance since i don't have attendance boost. That's gonna suck, but i'm hoping rebuilding won't last too long!

Fully against tanking though! There's no way i'm gonna try to demote. I'll make a push soon.

I'm sure you get attendance boost from promoting until ASG. But $453 009 salary is still extremely high and you're probably not going to make any profit to get extra players unless you have tons of cash saved up. Just take this advice with a grain of salt, two 50k players is almost always much better than 1 100k player.

But seeing how fast you've grown the past seasons (I stalked you a bit since you're all over the place) and how active you are you are probably the best positioned out of the newcomers to make a case for belonging in d2, got faith in you!

I promoted thru bot cleanup with the best record in D.3. Because I didn't win finals, I don't get attendance boost. So, I'll do my best to rebuild faster so I don't suffer too much from attendance.

Wow nice writeups! There is definitely a change between d3 and d2 on that aspect (active players on the forums).
As for myself this season, my main goal is to avoid relegation. You already beat me on the first game (although at home and with more effort...), and I think I will lose quite a few others, but I need to finish my arena before going on a spending spree. Hopefully if I get a good run in the cup I will be able to sneak my way into the playoffs :p But for now the focus is on arena and training Cornoldi/Ranjith.
