Instead of four months.
4 months in BB is 1 and 1/3 seasons.

That tall forward I really needed for the game got suspsended for two games for ... Can you tell me the reason? Maybe this is a fine time to add "Will Chow is in the stands!" A thing that helps us realize why the player was suspended.

Suspensions could work similar to injuries ...

I'm always in favor of trying to think up improvements to the game. However, there are already too many injuries, so this would be a step in the wrong direction.

the background for an in game suspension already exist in BB in the form a the---flagrant foul----, if a player commits a flagrant he should at least sit for 5 mins, then if he commits another in the same game then he gets thrown out and suspended the next game.

if a player also commits a foul that leads to a fouled player getting injured then the fouling player should get the same lost minutes/games/weeks that the injured player gets

Personally I'm not into this idea at all. I know suspensions are just as realistic as injuries, but we have to remember this is a game and it's supposed to be fun. I would bet quite a bit of money that when most managers have a player that get's injured, they're probably not thinking how fun this injury feature is but rather cursing BB for potentially tampering with their training, upcoming games, or even season for that matter. Some people have had long lasting plans and goals they have been working towards for seasons and in my opinion it doesn't seem worth it to have an injury or suspension tamper with these goals. Most of the time injuries are just something that have to be dealt with, but I can recall a time in my past when an injury right before the championship game kept me from advancing to D.2. Some might just call this tough luck but the way I see it injuries are just a pointless feature in the game that may make it more realistic but no one really enjoys or would care if they were removed all together. Suspensions would really be no different.

i respectfully disagree, I believe that injuries are the wildcards in the GM's best laid plan. It gives randomness and is a great equalizer of plans. It hurts if your in the losing end, but you learn from the School of Hard Knocks.

I understand your view completely. Injuries aren't going anywhere any time soon, but I feel as if it would be senseless to add suspensions when there are already so many people who want to do away with injuries.

One thing I want to bring up is that I lost a player for 5 weeks to injury after he was fouled. It was about 2 minutes into the first game he played for me. It was pretty frustrating to lose him for about 10 games after I just bought him. It was pretty annoying that nothing happened to the opposing player that injured him and I think that is where suspensions could have a place in the game even if its just a game or two.

I don't know man, if my player got injured for 5 weeks and the guy who fouled him was only suspended for two games, I'm not sure I would feel much better. I do like the point you made earlier though about how the PR-Manager could have an impact on whether or not a player gets suspended or for how long. This would be pretty cool and maybe encourage managers to actually purchase some decent PR-Managers.

Despite what I just said I still would disapprove of suspensions though.

That makes sense, but a lot of times players who cause injuries and are suspended don't miss as much time as the injured player. Like others have said, in a 22 game season, suspensions for more than a game or two is pretty harsh but it would ease some frustration. I don't know if suspensions would work in the game and I don't think there should be too much commitment to make long suspensions.

No.

In the NBA and other major leagues, you know you can have trouble with players, for example Johnny manziel, a guy who partied hard in college and obviously messed up a lot with decisions. His most recent thing, giving the finger to the redskins wasn't really a shock, it was a manziel like thing to do. Now in Buzzerbeater, I go and get a random guy of the TL and he gets suspended for randomly throwing a punch? How am I supposed to know he's suspension prone? Sure, some players are injured more often than others in this game but injuries are always a risk. And I know, you cant tell every player that gets suspended was probably going to get suspended but most of the time you can. I think injuries are enough. Keep suggesting though!
