I think this will be something for the community to find out for themselves. The BB's will not hand us everything on a plate

Of course, but I mean if we have no way to know when a player cannot evolve anymore, it will be hard to guess it :(

At least, I hope the coach will inform us about that, or semething like that.

This is the lesser thing imho.

Potential acts as a soft cap on player skill. When the player's skills reach the maximum their potential will allow, their training will slow down

I may have missed something for the conversation that took place in the forum, but here is my question:

Potential will be the same for all the skills of a given player (i.e: his limit is repsectable for all his skills after that point his training deteriorates) or will they differ? (i.e: respectable at passing, inside defense but strong at Jump shot)

You missed that it was never stated, and will likely be left to the users to figure out

My take is that the cap will be identical for all skills, but this is pure speculation.

I have one question that only the BB staff can answer, or so I think. Prove me wrong. :].
What is the potential of a player on the draft list rated as a 1*, 2*, 3*, 4*, 5*??
Is there a certain level for each amount of stars? Thanks to anyone who can help me out on this one.

Why do you think anyone is supposed to or will answer this? It is pretty easy to sort out after several drafts.

Just taking a guess but there are 5 ball potential players in the draft, 10 levels of potential so 5 would be lvl 9/10, 4 would be lvl 7/8 etc.

Obviously have no evidence about this but it makes sense.

There's 12 levels of potential.

My theory about level cap's is the color.

all-star being prominent maybe ? As i saw someone with a potential of a superstar and he was the color of wondrous... thats my guess.

well then we would all be in trouble! If allstar = prominent you will soon see a huge amount of players on the TL since many teams have players wlth such skills (and 19 years old ones). If we can;t train them efficiently anymore we will get rid of them...

But there is something that concerns me and that seems to contradict previous BB efforts:
you remember the BB's made training faster (for a period that has now ended) in order to give the game better players. That has happened and we now have many 19-20 years old players with good skills.

Now, if the allstar soft cap is too low that would simply mean most of these players will not receive training anymore (we will focus on more talented ones, or on allstars that have not reached the soft cap) and will remain the way they are now. Doesn;t that contradict all those previous efforts?

How do you see this?

I thinked in a same way yesterday and I have to agree - is most possible, that the collor will show us the real limitation

anyway see the table and the allstar position:

announcer
bench warmer
role player
6th man
starter
star
allstar
perennial allstar
superstar
MVP
hall of famer
all-time great

is logical that he can be at most prominent guy:

atrocious
pitiful
awful
inept
mediocre
average
respectable
strong
proficient
prominent
prolific
sensational
tremendous
wondrous
marvelous
prodigious
stupendous
phenomenal
colossal
legendary

I see this point on that way - that if we all got for our players better potential, we would have a huge advantage thanks to a next generations of the teams - which will haven't and will not receive so good talents - remember that BBs told us that "allstar" potential belongs to 20 percent of a best players in a game... that means we already have the advantage now - because our whole teams are allstar... that means 80 percent advantage? I'm not a mathematic:)

about the prominent thing - I would like to see that you can have a whole preferences on your player at least prominent, not just 3 or so...
