:) Thank you Gullyfole, Js8 and Vecx for the friendly welcome and the useful support, really do appreciate it. Really looking forward to seeing what may be created in the future seasons to come.

I think after reading the threads and looking at the team I have inherited this season which is not good at all. I will focus on building up Arena and save some money. Combine this with training the possible one or two decent players that I have (compared with the rest of my team).. and wait for the draft and buy some players in to booster quality of squad at a later date.

Is there a player age when it is not worth training them after either because it takes longer with say age or because they cannot be trained after a certain age?

Looking at your teams arenas and some other EBBL players arenas the majority have gone for high bleachers than lower tier seats. You any of you think of changing your area seat's? This might be a very amateurish thing to ask but has anyone created a stadium with a higher lower tier e.g. 7k Bleachers and say 16k Lower tier if you get more income? And I take it once you build seats you cannot change them to Lower tier or Bleachers they stay as they are.

That's an excellent plan. Though I would add you could keep an eye on the transfer list for better trainees. I'd recommend no one too expensive at this stage though. Also don't spend too much on a trainer at this point.

The simple answer is yes, there is an age where its not worth training a player, but it depends on the player. One of my current trainees is 26, but he's a bit of a special case. Its a combination of age, potential and the current skill levels of the player.
Training speed declines with age so given similar skills its always preferable to train a younger player.

Not amateurish at all. This subject has been one that's been debated a long time, and still there's people who disagree. My personal opinion is that 7k lower tier is an excellent aim. Though because of the cheapness of building bleachers its probably more profitable to build them early on.
Attendance goes down if results are bad, and this affects lower tier less than bleachers, which is another good reason for having lower tier.
And you're right, you can't remove seats. If most of the established teams who have a higher percentage of bleachers could remove them, I think they would.

Yeah look for a couple of trainees on the cheap like Allstar or better with decent to good starting skills for their age. Consider that from 18yo to 19yo you can expect at least 8-10 increase in skills (pops),

Buy a doctor with massage specialty (1-3 level as cheap as you can for his level, without overspending), buy a 3-4 level trainer (either specialty is fine but not essential as you're not training NT caliber prospects and maybe you don't have too many old players), buy a 1 level PR with either specialty (national appeal will give you a slight edge on road games and crowd involvement gives you an edge for home games). You can get a great package of guys for about 20-25k a week where the trainer will cost you 12-14k if he's level 4 (Advanced).

Don't buy a trainer and probably a doctor until you actually have that couple of interesting players to train.

I'd get advice on viable cheap players to train or maybe check the U21 requirements.

As above

On the subject of arena, max boxes is 50, max courtside is 500, I'd probably these days aim for 13k, 7k, 500, 50

In terms of training, yes Allstar or better, from scratch it's only worth putting major effort into training 19 or under until they are 27/28 (players train faster the younger they are and the better coach you have). For starting advice train defenses, defense is critical to carving out a good season position.

Ok Thanks Gullyfoyle that makes sense great help thank you.

Lemonshine thanks for your help. What does massage do for the trainer? does it reduce injury time or produce less injuries?

Again thanks Vecx. Would you go for say a 10k,10k,500,50 seating? Just rechecked some arenas capacity again I take it there is a limit to how many people can attend a game if the top EBBL players are not building 30-40k plus arenas for extra profit. Although having just googled the Chicago bulls arena size that is only around 23kish.

Massage helps with the Game Shape of your players, Taping Injuries gives you a small chance that injured players will heal during the game and start playing again (it does not affect the recovery from injury if the player is still injured at the end of the game). GS is very important.

Most EBBL arenas are too big. 20k is about right.
