So youre saying sell them once they hit a certain age like 23. Could I be like the spurs and keep them till they old as dirt and make massive amount of money from them? Would you think ill promote to division 3 or so with the same guys as they age and grow? Or should I do like you say and go with a market apporach and make money even faster with a chance to demote?
They're highly unlikely to be worth more (at least on the TL) as they age. However, there is value in training players for your future use, as if you train a guy the way you want him to be at age 23, he will be that same player for another ten seasons. I know a large part of my team's progress has been helped knowing that since I have six guys who I've trained from age 18 (two different age groups, though), I'm at the point where I haven't needed to get backup guards or starting big men - those positions were capably filled and I could just focus on improving the starters at guard and trying to have one or two more bigs for depth.
