Glory road all the way !

Although I loved he got game, coach carter, space jam and white men cant jump, you gotta go with glory road, a nice story without falling in the excess of coach carter and nice acting so...

I have seen only 5 of the 9 movies you proposed, but among these ones, my favorite movie is by far "He got game" with Ray "Jesus Shuttlesworth" Allen. [ :)]

Which ones have you not seen?

These ones:
Hoosiers
Above the Rim
Semi-Pro
Glory Road

"He got game" is the only Spike Lee movie worth watching. Dude got lucky with this movie.

sorry to flame bro, but that is a ignorant statement. but I think it could be said this is about the point Spike started losing some stream as it has been a while since I can remember anything truly memorable from 40 acres. His early work though, especially Do the Right Thing and Malcolm X are defining statements. She's gotta have it is one of the great underground debuts of all time, and even stuff like Mo Better Blues, Crooklyn and Girl 6 are awesome flicks/

If you have any interest, I would suggest watching them in that order.

Hooisers is a great story about midwest high school basketball. Specifically, Indiana. It is also a true story, based on an overachieving squad from Milan IN.

Above the Rim is a street ball movie, featuring Tupac and Leon. Good soundtrack.

Semi-Pro is a Farrell comedy if you're into that sort of thing. Also has Woody.

Glory Road is a true story of the championship UTEP team. I won't divulge, but a great story to coincide with the civil rights movement.

I never have gotten around to seeing CC but I may well be changing that.

Hey bro, lets whip out a best hoops documentary thread with poll.

Some early nominees for that, naturally Hoop Dreams.

City dump, the story of the 1951 NYU scandal was awesome sauce.

Battle for Tobacco Road naturally makes the list since I am a unabashed UNC nut.

The Iran Job was really well done, and I think gives a glimpse in what maybe the life of the average working class stiff buzzerbeater player would resemble.

Rebounds could well serve as a companion piece with the setting changed from Iran to Chile.
