*** U21-Update *** (In English this time)

Belgium - Österreich 116 - 122
First scrimmage after the U21-Championship Tournament is a great victory over Belgium, Nr. 51 in the U21-Worldrank.
In these matches you often see the managers change the roster to build up their team for next season. I've also made
some minor changes, but kept the topplayers (we'd like to win some matches, don't we?). Belgium still got there squad
unchanged. Therefore upfront you'd say this would be an 'easy' match vor the Red Devils from Belgium.

End of first QT, small advantage for Belgium (34-32). 2nd QT was the Qt where we made the difference (24 - 38). Belgium
hat no answer to our Motion-game and couldn't stop our guards-combo Weiner/Douda. 3rd and 4th QT, both for Belgium, but we stood strong. We even gave Belgium a little bit of hope they could win the match bei making only 1 out of 8 Freethrows in the last 20 seconds of the game. In the end, a great victory over Belgium !

After the great win against Belgium, we've played another 5 friendlies.

Luxembourg - Österreich 83 - 121
Nice win with strong inside. Engelmair and Dobner were unstoppable for Luxembourg.

New Zealand - Österreich 120 - 127
First match with U20, therefore a lot of debut-players. Outstanding debut for Berger, playing in Greece, on SG with 32 pts. Also great game for Engelmair with 26 rb. and 21 pts.

Österreich - Slovenija 102 - 124
Slovenija, nr. 46 of the world, wouldn't play U20, so short comeback of our 21-yr old. It didn't help. Dispite the good match of Weiner and Seibt, we've lost 102 - 124. They were just too strong.

Österreich - The Netherlands 90 - 132
My home-nation, too bad we didn't win. They are also just too good. Again a good match of Berger at SG, we will have a lot of fun with him next season...

Österreich - Colombia 115 - 104
Last match of season 34, against a strong team from south america. After a bad first half of the game (both quater lost 25/33 and 24/29), our team stood up to make a good result at the end of the season. 3th. Qt. a slight win with 25-21, but the difference was made in the final quarter, wich we won 41 - 21. As always a great inside game of Engelmair (19 Rb / 14Pts), but this time the guards locked the game. Both Schnitzler (20 Pts / 8 Ass.) and Berger (23 Pts) were excellent this match.
