I guess I am not suppose to ask if you ever played this game before your current team... Maybe this will be deleted.
I just think it would be good to see the performance of your teams when someone gives advice. Based on your current team it would look like you know nothing of BB, but I get the feeling you played before, quit, and came back...
Or maybe you really are new?
I guess this will be deleted. I just don't think SB is important outside C in 1-3-1 or that much against Princeton.
You may look at my recent cup game vs GM-Hrudey's team

I watched that game, as you might recall, and inviting people to look at it without warning them that they may feel the compelling urge to stab their own eyeballs out is a touch irresponsible. A game where it took the late minute intentional foul to have the winner break 40 points is a sick and twisted way to spend an evening.
In terms of the overall conversation, SB and OD at every position is good to have vs. any offense, in my opinion, except in the scenario where a highly aggressive player has just enough of one or the other to decide that he has a chance of getting a steal/block and goes ahead and gets ejected in the third quarter and turns a game that was won into a loss and torpedoes promotion, not that I'm bitter or anything.
The usual problem with zones against outside offenses is that most teams end up having a weak point in their zone. It sometimes still works out if they do (see my mini-rant about the super defensive day from an SF earlier), and more often it doesn't. If you have the skills on your players to make sure there's not a weak spot outside, the zone is going to be an improvement because you get the boost to the team OD from the zone, which I still believe reduces the shooting percentage of "open" shots.
