I'm confused (which is nothing new) ... trying to find the original news post on this but I can't find it. Can you please remind me again? Both teams get the 3rd game bonus money, regardless if they play a third game or not. Is that correct?

There is no more attendance revenue for the third game, but there is some kind of prize money. What you got and half that for the losing team. Value varies depending on the league level.
