Thanks. Hopefully others can shed some light on the kind of players they get especially in terms of age, salary and top skill level.

In my opinion the best way this could have been done was to take a 40-45 TSP random skillset and then simulate random training (no Stamina or FTs) with a Basic or minimal trainer. This way you get more realistic players (and likely balanced). Get a pool of hundreds of these players that will be allocated as teams need to receive one.

I've got a Marvelous (15) on one of mine (can't complain at 6k salary!), but on the other hand - only 62 tsp, and a flaw in one attribute in particular makes him almost unplayable.
He can play in the cup for now and maybe get an emergency bench spot in the league.

You can fire any player. An alternative if you do not want to fire a current player is to buy a player for $1000 from the transfer market and thereafter fire him.

I had a pretty nice player with a salary slightly above 10k. I have too poor backup squad so was actually a player that I have need of. I wonder if this initiative is a way to get more players in this salary range to the game as I suspect that it is pretty drained up. Probably also a way of trying to lower the transfer sums.

My player was 29 so not even close to be an alternative as a trainee. I would rather buy a $2k Star player potential player and train him than to waste training on a 29 year old with no possibility to take part of my starting five.

Tutorial should be related to users, not for teams.

If an Utopian team receive a player, this is a bug.

I think this is a brilliant idea. Give new users a player to get attached too that's not bad to start off, for teaching them to play the game. If BB keeps going in this direction I think it'll be good.
