Just a quick message to say - congrats and thanks for the game shape this week everyone! To have 5 of the 11 current players in 9 GS at this stage of the season is fantastic (I've only got 7 myself between my two teams...), two more are on very high 8s.

Due to the good GS + no injuries I might leave any new callups for another week...I'm gonna try to message managers of all my backup list though today (I've got 13 on there fwiw)

England 127 - Denmark 112

A solid performance for the boys, we had good shape overall with some managing to get players into the 9 zone so early into the season. We managed to slide past the Danes with less effort used and put ourselves in a good position for the next few games. Top performances from Lathlane and Grierson this week! Things get progressively harder from here on in, with Finland in 2 weeks and Lithuania (number 1 in the world) in 3 weeks time. I hope we can keep the GS up, that would make me a very happy NT coach and put us in a strong position to shock a few folks! Being the underdog is not always easy as the lower teams don't save enth on you, but when it comes to playing the stronger teams... It's a wonderful place to be!

I'm confident about this team, lets see if we can make the most of them!

Montenegro 98 - 91 England

Well, that was just one of those games where I was left scratching my head. Looking at the box score I am still left wondering how we got beaten when we on paper outclassed them. But there we go, BB does this sometimes and this is the first NT game when I walk away feeling at a slight loss for words. With two minutes to go we are up 89 to 85 and then in the final 2 minutes they score 13 points and we score 2....

So... next is Finland... lalalalala

I think it's only fair that somebody applauds that result against Lithuania....
Qualification still a long shot, but what a great win!

It's been an odd season, I've been somewhat amazed by some of the results, including this last one.

It's an uphill battle but I've not given up yet, much to do, need all the shape we can get. But it's nice to beat the top nation in the world at least once in your NT career!

Sadly it wasn’t to be. Slovenia crunched us to win by 6, which sadly screwed us and their chances... I’ll never understand that at NT level.
