Season's gonna be too long I reckon. It also beats the purpose of having conferences (in the NBA where they have home and away for cross conference games, they play 3-4 times against teams in your conference).
But the lack of having both home and away for cross conference games can be crucial in the playoff hunt coz you might get a more favourable schedule if you're lucky (and vice versa)
