7 undefeated teams in division III this season, and my team ranks 6th amongst them. But there's also 4 all-bot leagues in the middle of the pyramid, so if my understanding of the bonus promotions is correct there will be 8 available after bots are excluded from promotion eligibility.

That means I'm in division II next season and it's up to Figtree now to get their GS in order, as I still think they have a good chance of beating me after the sales. I got lucky against Adelaide after they forced OT, and GDP was the only reason I beat Figtree.

Well done. That is a wild scoreline for only 4 quarters

There's a case to be made against being predictable with your tactics and getting GDP'd, but when DJ had a player like Dennis Heller they really should've played an inside or at least balanced offence imo. 9 shots for the big man all game.

I would imagine there will be a reverse on saturday setting up a game 3 given the difference in effort levels in game 1.

I'll be trying something new in game 2 but if Ryde sweeps I'm not overly bothered. I did already work out that the regular season sweep earned me promotion, plus my Utopia mean might finally get over the hump tonight.

You pay a (cheap) yearly fee to manage a second team in Utopia, which functions just like any other national/regional league. The primary differences are;

- 6 teams relegate from higher leagues instead of 5, meaning more wildcard promotions except for in Division IV which will expand to 96 groups next season.

- Draftees have a random nationality, which helps even the playing field a bit for the smaller NT's. Not to the point where they can win tournaments, just enough to let them put out a respectable squad.

I was riding the wave of being in a weak conference, whilst also escaping in OT over Adelaide and getting the double GDP on Figtree. That wave finally crashed in the finals against a real team. And I probably would've gotten swept even if I went PCT in game 1 like a normal person.

Congrats on making it to Div II. We may meet again, as tonight's other results moved me up to 3rd highest placed non-champion in III, hence I go up regardless of how bots are processed.
