So the large DMI's I see on good players and the smaller DMI's on lousy players have no correlation?
It seems the best players all have larger DMI's. Is it because they have developed more?
So a low starting DMI is not necessarily bad?

It is heavily influenced by game shape. Better form results in better DMI (of the player).
