so you want another tie breaker in the finals? Thats not that consistence and logical or not? It is still confusing, that the same tiebreaker means two different things in rules, for the relegation and PO.

And the tiebreaker should reflect, the league games which aren't just the two betwenn the both teams. It about the overall performance during the season and for that, the point differential makes sense in my eye, and the team who wins the head to head comparison got also an advantage.

If point differential matters, why does my coach take out the starters when I'm 20+ points ahead after 3 quarters. Many times this has turned a blow out, into a close game. In fact, I nearly lost a game last season, up by 22 going into the 4th, had to make a last second shot to win. So PLEEEEEZE, change this, if point differential matters, which clearly it does matter.

My last league game, had a 24 pt lead after 3, bums came in and made it a close game, only won by 9. So I gave up 15 pts in point differential, just because it was a blow out? Makes no sense to me.

I wasn't supporting any change... I was just making clear that the initial post was about conference tie betweeen two and more teams. I believe that everyone is sane enough not to want head-to-head match as a tiebraker between or among teams from different conferences. I support point differential as the first kicker.

Improve your depth. This is the same for everyone. There are tactics to run up the score - and there is a suggestion thread about it in suggestions.)

Just because you are up by 20+ going into the 4th, doesn't mean you are going to win. I've almost lost 2 such games because of starters being pulled with an entire quarter left. And last I looked, W-L, effect what place you are in, let alone the point differential. And I would hope that everyone in my division would have better starters than my bench, or they don't deserve to be in the division. Just saying it needs to be changed, because 20+ points is not impossible to come back. I've seen my own team score that many in 5-6 minutes.

And point differential is important, so why limit a team that scores 20+ points more than their opponent, and allow teams that only outscore their opponents by 19 to leave their starters in?

Sort of......

It is important (for many) to keep your game shape as high as possible, which means spreading your minutes around a little more evenly. One games sub may be the next games starter. Depth is more important here than in the NBA. Often times in the NBA the team with the most depth wins it all.....except last year of course.

you guys are totally missing my point.

All I'm saying if points matter, don't limit my ability to score them and don't limit my ability to limit them on the other team. That's what is happening when the starters get benched because you outscored your opponent to much in 3 quarters.

Hopefully everyone's starters are better than their subs....if they are not, then they are not maximizing their team. Would you keep Kobe on the bench when it matters, just because you scored a couple more points than 19? You would want to outscore your opponents by 100 if you could, because points matter in this game!!!! So don't take the starters out, is all I'm saying. Your team is being penalized for no reason, because it has outscored the other team by 20+.
