you get standard SB pops too from training the other skills, or was this removed from the training?

there is no biggest portion of random pops because hey, they're random. You'll have just as much of an increase in all the other skills as you have in shot blocking.

Let's say this:
- you train a guy from 18 to 28 years
- i.e. he receives 11 seasons or 154 weeks of training (provided he's never injured or the minutes are messed up)
- you have 12 skills so the random 10% go to Shot Blocking every 11th time in those 154 weeks.

=> all in all you'll have 14 weeks in his training career where he receives the random 10% training in Shot Blocking.
=> that's about equal to 1.4 normal training weeks of shot blocking, which is equal to 1 pop if you're lucky (or unlucky the way you see it)

If you find any mistake in the above, let me know but that's how I see it.

We have both said a lot of things that you are going to regret.

Just to point this out. Your opinion (which is fine) is that SB is useless in general and that inside skills are useless for guards.
Many people (including me) don't think so but that's a different story.

your calculation seems right..

i don't think inside skills are useless for guards..
i just think that if a skill (except shot blocking) is not over a threshold (this is decided by the level of the match being played) it just adds up to the salary..

this threshold is confirmed by the BB but as I said, one pop over a whole career - and even that only if you train a guy for 10+ seasons - can't be worth all the fuss going on here

yes and it appears for the opposition too, so nearly none changes at a matchup.

The intresting staff are the differences in the training speed in my eyes, so the changes of the elastic effect.

How many players do you have on your team that are exactly how you want them to be?
I have none.
I don't lose any sleep over it.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Had to +1 this :)

I've been telling all my friends about that, one bad player can kill your team in so many ways you just can't afford that. But, contrary to what most people think, it's not actually about having a team with perfectly good players, it's about finding the perfectly fitting players.

Now, regarding cross training, I've been training secondary skills on my players for some time now and that was a huge differential on my team, I believe the way it's being done is just really unfair to basically anybody who used to do that, as that makes our players less valuable and efficient.
