Sorry to ruin this evenings entertainment, but I have a legitmate question.
And its long. With some background.
So lets face it. Aus21 isnt going to be Number 1 in the world under the next manager. We will only be able to do our best based on given talent and number of managers training. And even then, tactic's, schedule, etc conspire. So my point with this statement is that, personally, Im not worried about the number in the Wins column.
Even if Manager X can get 10 more users to train their trainee's according to a plan, such that we have more selection of players to choose from/more competition etc, im not worried about this either.
And also just to be clear, Im not worried if my player who is currently in the team gets a game or not. (just so we can eliminate bias here in my comments..haha).
The Aus National Team group will always be a bit more of a 'select' number of users, but anyone from Div IV through to Div I can have someone in or aiming for the U21 team and be involved.....And the involvement of that player and user should be an enjoyable and where applicable, helpful experience. Scouting and training advice should not be focused around getting the best player out of the work, but getting the best
user
out of the whole experience. And it should involve the Oz community as a whole, without alienating other user's.
What I would like to hear from each manager before I cast my vote, is a summary of how they attempt to unite the Australian community through the U21 team.

The GM's are here to moderate the forums and game, not the people.
There are many different personalities at play here and people will naturally have a blue at each other. There is nothing wrong with disliking another manager, it happens all the time. But once it becomes vicious and targeted then fines and bans will have to be enforced.
So my advice is to just move on, if you feel the other party has been unreasonable then put in a report and the GM's will have a look at it.

Great question Coach Regan. We have to be realistic if we are going to slightly change our system from what we have been doing the past couple of season to something similar that has happened in the past with the larger staff, focusing more on the young kids etc.
I think iwen and I both understand that this term will be about setting up a real solid foundation of an U21 system so that in the future our U21s will be more talented/stronger and be more consistent with each years age group coming through.
To adress the summary your wanting to hear about how will I attempt to unite the Australian community through the U21 team... well I have a federation I have created and as a community the federation aims and does focus on helping new users identify trainees (aussie ones), discuss and provide a suitable training plan for their trainees and let the training happen with the guidance of experienced managers who have successfully trained up players. It also gives the new managers a chance to introduce themselves to the veterans of this game, where in the past they might not have had the opportunity too or have not known which coaches to seek help from.
As I keep saying (even if I hadnt said the exact words) my campaign is about getting more people involved, not discrimminating against any coaches because they are in a particular division or had x amount of experience. If you are willing to learn - that is good enough to motivate me to help you and share with you everything there is about BB Australia.
Whoever wins the election , I will plan and offer to incorporate the federation i have into the coaches U21 managerial methods, if they would like to use it as another tool to help our u21 system.
Other than that I have said it already, I plan to involve as many people that are interested in one way or another. I know how hard it is to 'get into the mix', shall we say, of the aussie community and i wil try to make that process a whole lot easier and smoother. The process being a transition from just an average manager who only worries about his franchise to a manager who wants more from the cool game and wants to experience all the other facets buzzerbeater has to offer; such as the national team involvement, such as the private leagues and their federations, and such as all the great coaches that are already apart of it!
Thank you.

*throws the popcorn box in the trash*
Great to see that this thread, thanks to Koops' intervention, is back on track.
Although I don't have a specific question (Coach Regan's is yet to be fully explored) I would like to make an observation.
In my short time in BB (8 seasons) I haven't seen such a large number of Aussie managers getting involved in this thread. This alone, for me, suggests that the Aussie community---in terms of wanting the U21 NT team to perform well---is alive and healthy. There are many managers (myself included) who have already, or will put their hands up to assist the next U21 Manager. Of course, as Iwen already noted, the manager who wins the job will no doubt personalise it. all I'd like to say is that I hope the person who takes on this role is able to tap into this great wealth of experience and enthusiasm to reignite both the interest in the Aussie U21 team and greater involvement and input into its progress going forward.
I have no problems admitting that for me Iwen has all the attributes an U21 NT manager needs and, as a result, has my vote. having said that, I will assist whoever gets the job if they want me to.
Keep the questions and responses going guys; it gives all those involved a chance to voice concerns and clarify confusion. And for others...amusement. lol

Just one other point:
( hey this is a campaign, im going to give it all i got
)
To get more of the Aussie community involved there really isnt a whole lot more that we can do. I mean other than BB-mailing a user who has never even heard about this side of things and then to try get them involved would just double the workload. I have seen all the effort it takes for coaches to help mentor a brand new user and it is tough and takes a lot. So if they dont show the enthusiasm and initiative to get involved then sadly there isnt that much we can do about it. This is me speaking from experience from when I tried looking for new users and try introduce them to my fed, some wouldnt even listen, some would reply but wouldnt follow through with the advise, some quit because it took too much effort and time but on the odd occasion one or two would actually take a genuine interest and try as best they could. So atleast it wasnt a total waste.
What im trying to say is I will post and keep everyone updated on these forums about our U21 side as the coaches have done before me and as Im sure iwen plans to do aswell. Its up to others to get interested and read the things we say. But you know I will try my best to encourage and motivate people to get involved. There is these forums, BB-mails, feds and for regular non supporters there is the offsite forum here
(http://forum.buzzerbeaterstats.com/)
that everyone should sign up to because it is usually where tactics are discussed, more info can be found out about our teams there and there is also assitance for your own franchises aswell.

It is really hard to say what we shoud be accepting given the changes that I think will be taking place in management from now on. I haven't had a part in developing the players who will be representing our country in this term so as long as we are competitive in every single match to the best our talent has to offer, I think that will be acceptable for me. Given our competitive nature I'm sure with any loss the coach will be disappointed so I also hope we do not regress a whole lot (if at all) from our recent achievments. So quite possibly still looking at qualifying for the world championships.
If everything goes to plan and management works well as a team, and we can get enough cooperative coaches training their talented players then by the 3rd season onwards I think we could be striving for top dog status amongt our asain rivals and also be seriously competitive and going really deep into the world championships. The ultimate goal is to win the whole thing obviously, so as long we can consistenty get that opportunity, to be in the final game where that is all decided, then I think that is what would be the sort of expectation we can have each season in the not to distant future.
Whether it's me or iwen, we will need time to correct our approach and execute our plan.
