The first quarter ended normally. (I turned the game on about a minute into the first quarter, if that means anything.) I walked away from it for a bit, and then came back and saw the weirdness that became the screenshot. I don't know if the weirdness happened in the break between quarters, right when the 2nd quarter began, or a bit into it.

That helps a lot.

I know exactly what the problem is now. I just have to work out how to fix it.

thanks a lot.

Not sure if this qualifies as a bug, but I'll give it a shot. In the match viewer game text, the letter "w" has too much blank space to the right. For instance, "Out of nowhere, ..." looks like "Out of now here, ...".

I don't know anything about flash programming and even less about fonts, so I don't know if this is something that is easily correctable or not. (Or if you even think it's a problem. :) )

Oh, it's definately a problem, but it can't be fixed easily. The commentary uses system fonts for display. I can have a look at various aliasing options, but I'm not sure that I'll have much joy. Generally flash is a real pain with these sorts of problems - it's good with big bold embedded glyphs, but horrible with system and small fonts.

I think I've fixed this one. I watched a couple of allstar games tonight and my fix doesn't appear to screw anything up, and should kill this problem good and proper. To be on the safe side I'll release on Saturday for the league games when I have more time to be around to rollback rather then potentially mess with some cup finals tomorrow.

I'll post again when it's updated.

Thanks again, for your help.

I'm happy to help. Especially if it doesn't involve any work. :)

Thanks for taking care of it so quickly!

Not sure if this is a match viewer bug or a game engine bug, but my opponent got a shot off two seconds after the shot clock went off:

Basically, he got the ball with 5:01 remaining, my guy fouled with 4:38 remaining (dummy!), which reset the shotclock to 14. Then, as you can see, he took his shot 16 seconds later.

I think the bug is still there. A few screenshots for ya. First quarter ended without a hitch. He missed a shot at the buzzer. I thought that it would say end of period, but it didn't. The 3 minutes between the quarters was slow to start. Its display started at around 2:40. Counted down to 0:00. Then this screenshot. http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/1430/picture2pu4.png (Overtime?!)

A few seconds later, this: http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/8257/picture3xt8.png.

And then it got really fun:

I can't decide if I should watch the game like this or just hit reload, at which point I'm sure it will be back to normal. :)

edit: If it matters at all, I can click all of the QT1, QT2, ... OT1, OT2, ... tabs in the matchviewer. My shots from this quarter don't show up in the QT2 ones - presumably they're under OT16, which I can't reach.

Wow, lot's of fun :-)

I did mention I'd release it on Saturday, which yesterday probably wasn't :-)

I've put up v1.03 now. It should be the fix you need for your problems.

I'm still working on the whole "reading comprehension" thing. :)

Sorry about that!
