Here is an example:
18/02/2010 I bought Cary Jones for $ 6 528 000 from free agency
08/05/2010 I sold Cary Jones for $ 7 500 000 (after fees $ 7 125 000) to Asingratitos BC (World Rank: 6)
For this almost 3 months in my team he had 8 skillups. I had placed him to TL maybe 5-6 times before he was sold.
This player deserves this price, but there are very few teams which can afford it and are looking for such a player and have the money at deadline.
Why shouldn't I place him at 7.5M six time? Or why should I pay 5x 75k = 375k for not sold him?
Or dou you think johny13 (Asingratitos BC) didn't know what he was doing?

Kukoc is playing a superhero here: he is regularly monitoring players and if you say anything against his suggestions, you'll get observed to, so better watch out. He is also a psychological genius, that when you do something here on Buzzerbeater (for example listing a player on the transfer market) he evaluates your conviction and finds out exactly, why you've put the player at that time for that price. His diagnostic is that a lot of criminals are online and by adding this fee they might be discouraged...

Batman returns, Superman rebirth, kukoc resurrection

I think that it's a stupid idea to invent a fee for putting a player on the transfer market. It is nonsense. In the past I think everybody had to learn the value of a player, and probably you learn by mistake. I mean sometimes players are overpriced, but you'll only find out, if you once made the mistake to buy one. It adds up to your experience in this game. Way overpriced players are anyways most of the times reported and then tracked down.

Perhaps he was overpriced or at the top of his price range I can't really say without monitoring your team and transfer list for similar players. Ofcourse it's harder to sell exceptional players as their price is high.
Did you list him 6 times in a row or did you have longer periods between those listings? Top teams deal with large sums of money, would that 375k really hurt you? probably not.
I'm against daytrading aswell, it does not mean they will remove that tactic from the game. So if BB's think this suggestion is not effective or needed, they will opt out from implementing it.
It does not mean I stop reporting though:P

In previous message you wrote:
I just monitor some teams who constantly list few of their players high.

So I thought you are already monitoring my team and you know exactly when and for what price he was listed.
Probably if you didn't mentioned Jones, he wasn't overpriced

Yes, just as you described in this thread, twice a week for last 3 weeks, I'm not sure that all these listings was at 7.5, surely 1 was higher, maybe 1 even little bit lower.

Looks like you have no idea of economy of top teams, they have big troubles to pay salaries, they count every $.

Did you report any of my recent trades??!!

I've almost got enough now to buy a player (maybe a player and a half) from a team in the Czech Republic that I'm sure you are hinting when you describe teams fishing for that solitary bid from a less than experienced user.

I'm against daytrading aswell

Me too.. day traders severely hamper my ability to week-trade. :D

everyones opinion is valued. Discussions are free for everyone to participate in.

you think fees will fix something you look upon as a bad aspect of the game. Others don't find it irritating, or don't think it irritating enough to change something, or might find the alternative more irritating than the beginsituation.

It's all fine, and the BBs will decide what they think is best for the totallity of the game.

But to give you an example, additional to the one just mentioned before, here's mine:

after at least 10 listings (probably even more) ranging from 2M3 to 1M9, back to 2M2, my man finally got sold for 2M6.

According to your theory, the 2M2 was surely overpriced, and since I put him under 2M0 for at least 3 times, and he wasn't sold, even 2M would be overpriced... and I should have been fined like 13 times with 20000 dollars for my persistency to try to sell my player overpriced... right?
Well, then tell me howcome now all of a sudden someone is willing to bid even more then the overpriced amount?

I think that about the last I can write in here, as I see no clearer facts why fees truely CAN hurt honest people too.
And I don't think it will be good if BB forces managers to undersell their players to make sure they are gone from the first try to avoid taxes...

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.

I'm very disappointed that I lost B3 final to less than experienced user ;-)
How is it possible to buy half a player? (Maybe I'm unexperienced as well I always buy whole player.)

My priority is to keep Estonia clean. I think we have catched most of the multis, so it's time to move on to the next things. I also have some foreign teams bookmarked, but I rather would not discuss them here. Anybody who get's fined should think of me right away :D and oneball one of my forum posts for revenge :D

Prices do change over time. With 13 listings 39 days have passed.
