Don't you mean (singular) team? SammyDog, if you reading this buddy I think someone has been pulling your leg.

My Assumptions;

Sammy is going patriotic and reverting back to an Oz line up.. Admirable but not worth the dollars you are putting up for them.
Merch will go up with an Oz roster.. Yep but not nearly enough to be worth it, I would assume your merch will only go up by about 10-15k a week which will take you a long time to get back the money you spent on them.

Your C has potential to be the best in the league so use him as your core player and fit some players around him.

On a lighter note, cup games tomorrow boys, loving the Div IV team that seems to have just found an owner :) TIE plus Bench roster still = EASY W!

not just SD, but a couple of teams that have made purchases seem to be buying based on potential, and not ratings... i dont think an all aus team would raise merch that much?

I have invited sammy to the forums, but got no response, so hopefully he can get involved :D

I think it would, obviously it is dependent on the star rating of your player as well, guess it is really hard to define as a figure as I personally don't get a great deal of merch, bout 30k.. I would like to train more SS aussies I can't justify paying 1 mill for the same skills as I got my current 18yr/o for.. What I would do for a draft pick like Flanagan!

Well seems my luck has, my cup run ends here with a Div. II drop out the Razzle Dazzles. Looked at rank and thought ok, should be alright, looked at roster and :(

His starting five all over 70k salaries. Guess that will make it easier to focus on training and league games then.

He might not be bothering with the cup. If you want the win, run the best team and hope he rests his.

I'm facing the top team in a div II league. Cowboys from Hell...hope I can sneak past!

Yeah fair call Donny, might be worth having a run.. I doubt though that with a roster like his he would keep his 500k+ roster if he didn't want to have a run in the cup, he must have a bucket load to afford that roster!
