What I'm most surprised about is that the SF trainers haven't shown up to complain yet. This new system is going to make it substantially easier to train well-rounded SFs.

It's a punch in the face to all of the managers out there that have spent 6+ seasons training up great SFs.

Yes, 6-7 seasons throwed in the trash. My SF is over the 100 skills, and it's only 24.

I had to look twice the calendar because i thought we were on April fools day.

Yes, 6-7 seasons trown in the TRASH!! It's like you don't even have that player anymore! It's like he's not worth a THING on the TL!! You couldn't be more right!!

Here's a tissue you can use to wipe your tears so everyone doesn't have to watch you masturbate in your own sorrows anymore.

As i said, it's an excellent marketing idea, BB's give more free pops, so everyone is happy with their ''multiskilled players''.

Enjoyable.

I don't actually expect an effect on this level is really going to have a major impact, but it's certainly a change, and there are some strategies that are hurt and some others that are helped by any change. That's always true

If people were complaining about the training, why wouldn't the BB's change it? Because the managers had trouble building a player? Oh jeez.

Right. I counted it's okay as having an opinion. I was just kidding around anyway. Sad to see you go, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

few people ever like change.
but without it the game would get very predictable and boring, fast. i applaud the developers for trying something new.
i think its crazy that a player in the old system could train under one schedule and play 10 seasons and never see improvements across the board.
whatever you feel about it, it affects everybody and its a new challenge.
those that dont like it need to dry their eyes and plan their strategies for the future.

ps i like my trainers new coaching style. he must have told my centres to rush from the stands and try to block the free throw shooters - the free throw shooters learn to relax and take their free throw even when there is a chunky 7'6'' Italian running at them :)

if a 400k salary player really gets a tertiary skill pop like that' he's pretty unlikely to have been a 400k salary player beforehand, but rather a 440k player. Stop thinking in displayed levels, what's used for the salary calculations etc. is the actual skill value, not the displayed (rounded) one.

With stamina and FT training giving away random pops, those players become a real financial threat to any team, you have to train stamina every now and then and with the random factor you cant guarantee an already expensive player wont get a pop in a main skill.

Maybe the option to turn cross training off for certain players would make sense.

Do you think this system hurts anyone?

I wanted to train IS on my SF so i was thinking to put him on the C position, with this change i haven't why, when i can train 10 weeks of OD and i could have some amazing pops.

Training was a nice part of this game, you had to make a good planification if you wanted to train out of position, but now the training is so easy.

If you scouted some seasons ago for outside players with nice IS, it was weird to see some of them.

If you scout now, you will see that there are more players improved in inside skills.

And now we are going to see a crowd of players with good inside skills, with 0 effort.

For certain players? No, that wouldn't make sense to me. If anything, either cross-training for everyone, or no crosstraining for anyone. Or choosing to exempt players from team training. That's even useful in its own right (too much stamina can hurt your minutes...)
