So if I jump into a random division II forum and start abusing the managers there and calling them "sore losers", "ïdiots" , "ignorant" and "arrogant" it would all be cool would it? I wouldn't dream of doing such a thing yet we have people coming into our forum and doing it and it seems everyone approves. I felt very bad over my original post. I guess I was wrong to edit it. In fact I guess I should have made it nastier if that is what everyone likes including a whole string of unwarranted vicious personal attacks on the Koopasaur. I stand corrected.

The way I see it, you overreacted, got called on it by someone and then apologised. I'm sure Koop is over it and accepted the apology, so it seems like case closed to me. However, to suggest that you need to play in the ABBL to express an opinion here is ridiculous. If you post on a public forum for anyone to see, you must accept that anyone has a right to reply and express their opinion.

My comments weren't abusive, they were an opinion. Telling someone that posting a rant after being CT'd makes them seem like a sore loser is not 'abuse'.

You called me ignorant and arrogant. I think it is ignorant and arrogant for Matt to jump on to the ABBL forum and say
Ranting on someone because they decided to CT you really smacks of being a sore loser.
when he has not even made that league yet.

So I can express this opinion only once I've made it to the ABBL? That has to be one of the more ridiculous comments I've read on here for a while.

A person's opinion should be treated the same regardless of what league they play in. If you disagree with my comment that's totally fine with me, but to dismiss an opinion on the basis that someone hasn't reached the ABBL is a rather elitist way of thinking.

Way back many seasons ago well before I was in the ABBL the first time I posted in the ABBL forum at the time when there were less than 100 posts a season I was told by one of the old timers (may have been C-Cat, mllama, Dire or someone no longer here I don't remember who) to stop spamming their forums. I am glad things are no longer like that. Everyone knows I am all for forum chat/banter. But I do not like people from other leagues coming into our league forum and abusing the managers here. If I was in division II and ABBL managers were abusing the division II managers and calling them idiots it wouldn't be right and it isn't right the other way around either.

It was an idiotic comment made by Johnno. If I made a stupid comment like that in my II forum I would have no problems with anyone commenting on it, regardless of what league they played in.

You'll notice I didn't abuse you at all, I simply expressed an opinion. If that opinion somehow offended you, feel free to BB-mail me and we can discuss it there.

If for some reason you're referring to the dice analogy, that was merely an observation on how the game engine works. There was not even a hint of abuse in that post.

Sorry to siderail this one, but what is wrong with elitist type thinking?
Is everyone equal? No.
Should everyone's opinion carry the same weight? No.
Do you think the President of the United States' life is worth the same as a homeless person in Iraq?
Would you respect your doctor's opinion on a medical issue, or a first year medical student's opinion on that issue, more? Or would you respect them the same?

Note: I'm not saying you don't have the right to express your opinion on this, or any other forum.

A person's opinion should be treated the same regardless of what league they play in.

But I completely disagree with this. Everyone should be able to express their opinion, but an opinion from person A might hold more weight than the opinion of person B.

Note: Not saying your post should be weighed less, just talking in general.

Nicely said Naker.

I agree everyone has a right to their opinion, but there are different forums for a reason, and I think it is good to respect those different forums. (especially when you are criticizing other managers)

Otherwise, I might have opinion that Matt1986 posts like zyler’s little sister – who talks big before they play big. Is the ABBL or the NBBA forum the best place to share that opinion?

Well, both Matt and Adam have argued that I have the right to that opinion and the right to express that in any forum I see fit.

Just a quick note on this; I don't think any of us would have said that seriously. We all like a good chat and don't really care who posts where but we're prone to a little (or a lot) of sarcastic humour which can sometimes be hard to pick over the internet. The only time i personally don't like it is when a legitimate thread turns in to pages of spam because a couple of people have started chatting about nonsense but if it's all on topic then it's all good.

To all:
As far as my 2 cents for all of this goes, waaaaaaaay overblown already. Harden the f*#k up australia.
