after tonight, i will be able to focus on catching Edju! not my choice, however -- the Bucks made mincemeat of my incompetents.
To me, this is where the record-breaking starts getting really impressive! When you started playing BB, Edju was just finishing up hs 7th season in the NBBA, en route to 12 NBBA seasons before he was relegated. You had to start in D5 and work your way up.
Obviously what Brian did puts him in a league of his own...but most of the other teams in the top 7 (except for Brian and Calum) their records are mostly due to just signing up sooner than others, and then the longevity of sticking around.
I don't mean to completely crap on what those guys did, they deserve the records they have...I just feel that as guys start to break those records, they become even more meaningful because of the longer path taken. Only one team in the "modern era" to get close was Calum, and then he suffered from Premature Tankage...unfortunately the pill to prevent that affliction didn't come out until 3 seasons later, and by then it was too late.
But you'll be the first team in the modern area to approach the top 5, and again, that's very impressive!
On a side note, back to Calum...His team was awesome and had plenty left in the tank when he decided to rebuild...If he stuck around for 3 more seasons and averaged over 17+ wins a season, he'd have been in striking distance for passing Coco for #3 on the list...
