Well, its hard for me to really comment on that, as I dont watch the Euroloeague. But, I will say this, from watching other sports at different levels. Compare say MLS soccer to EPL soccer. So, EPL has better players, clearly, no one denies that. If you have watched both, you will notice a stark contrast in play styles. Why, might you ask? Because of the quality of players. I believe the same thing is happening here.
This is really a wrong comparison.Because MLS is worse than EPL or the other main soocer leagues in Europe not only because of the level of players, but also because the level of the coach
To be authorized to coach a MLS team, you need to do a couse of study that last few days.In Italy,to coach an amateur team you need to do a 5 week course, and to train a team in the first two divisions(Serie A and Serie B),you need to earn other two licenses, that require 16 week both, every license two year after you earn the previous
That's why, also if the level of players is improving, american soccer remains a low level soccer. You don't need Messi o Cristiano Ronaldo to play a decent soccer level, what MLS lacks is the technical formation to reach the european leagues
I just looked at your coach examples, funny you would pick 3 of the worst current NBA coaches and compare them against coaches who have all won euroleague titles and are considered some of the best euroleague coaches ever....quite a comparison.....I could compare your examples to the 5 best NBA coaches ever and which coaches would look poor then? Try not to cherry pick stats for your argument, thanks!
You said that the best coach are in the NBA,right? There is a small group of great coaches in the NBA,as Pop,PHil Jackson/Tex Winter(you can't imagine Phil Jackson witouth triangle offense!),George Karl,Scott Skiles,SVG and so on,the main part of NBA coaches doesn't have the skills and the experience of the best european coaches, where their techincal e tactical education has processes similar to the soccer coaches education
