Two vital things for noobs:

1) Make money
2) Train players

Less important is winning games - it comes with the other two.

To make money the first thing you need to do is get profits up and costs down. You have 13 players, you don't need that many. I would suggest sacking or selling about 2.
Victor Lupea (13090791) Point Guard looks like agrbage.
Valter Vidulić (16213814) Center is garbage.
Domenik Ahrendt (16213804) Small Forward is probably garbage.

Anyone who it says on their $ estimate is $10,000 or less should probably be replaced asap.

Next think about your arena prices. It looks like you are putting them up, good. You should have built some extra seats earlier. Maybe build just 2-4 luxury boxes soon.

Training

This is probably number one.
VERY SADLY you sold your most trainable player Jean-Marie den Adel for peanuts yesterday. This is a tragedy.
The only guys you have left who are even remotely trainable are

Connar Bragg (16213813) Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 3 617
DMI: 9100
Age: 19
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: star
Game Shape: average

and

Alan Wall (14844563) Point Guard
Weekly salary: $ 4 299
DMI: 15700
Age: 19
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: allstar
Game Shape: respectable

and neither is very exciting.

You need to make some choices.
1) Will you do 1 or 2 position training?
2) what position(s) will you train?
3) Who will you train?

At least Bragg and Wall are both PGs, so maybe you could buy an 18 year old PG off the TL and add him to those guys. It is a start.

You MUST get at least a level 4 trainer. You can easily pick up one with less than a 20k/week salary for 20k or less.

If you respond I will send you some more ideas. Good luck.

Well..mostly agree with this yoda....but the thing I don't agree with is that n00bs should focus on making money and training players and winning is less important.

At the very start every team should make a decision on what their priority is:

1) Train Players
2) Win games
3) Make Money

and groom their strategy to fit their priority. Winning games is an important priority as that helps a lot on the making money department. Promotion into higher leagues also gives you a huge boost in cash so winning games is an very important aspect of the game as well.

However there are tradeoffs. Having an win more games approach probably means your training regime is not going to be as good as others and vice versa where if you focus on training, you are probably going to lose a few more games by giving young players minutes.

Well how much are you making now?

From a quick glance at your roster, yes you may have an aussie U21 Center but your team is severely lacking in the guards department. My advice to you would be to save some cash and spend it on a good guard.

Oi bloke, youse are 6-1 and top of your league. Why do you reckon you need help? You should be giving advice not getting it.

Well..mostly agree with this, Monkey!

I still think if you make money and train your players then you will start winning. If you go all out as a new player and buy a "win now" team with your initial money and not buy a decent trainer, not get at least 3 good trainees and not sink something into your arena then you will regret it a lot in the long run.

im actually with yoda on this one, winning comes as a side product of generating good income .

winning should still be the main goal and the reason why your trying to generate a high income.

Not necessarily. If your priority is training, you will be giving up winning games to train your trainees. I find that income is a by product of winning as opposed to the other way around. You could technically still make money but still lose games.

Maybe it is a difference of opinion but that was the approach I took when I started. Win first. Training was second priority. If i got the win then I was more than happy to forgo training minutes. At least by winning I was able to increase my attendance money and was making a lot of cash in the league games.
