if you don't see what skills a pure center should have, it doesn't mean that you know which players are the best players.

OH Well, can you explain what skills a pure center should have over IS,ID and Reb?

No one in this thread is questioning about the fact that the highest salary player aren't necessarily the best skilled players
But the best players in every single position are generally the players with the best primary skills, right?

The point is that, the best players at some position(mainly big mans) are not affordable by the best teams because of salary formula, without losing competitivity

Now,you can say that you find this situation good or bad, explaining why with your arguments, but you can't escape from this starting point

b) If you watch the transfer list for a while, you will see a few real-existing "500k monsters" that no 250k player will be able to outplay, certainly not at C.

just an example: (12159). neither team played inside. but 250k salary center on spain's roster performed better than 500k center of lithuanians team

Hard to imagine that a center will perform better in a slow than in a run and gut offense...

look at fg% and rebounds. 250k player defended and rebounded better than 500k player. both teams played same defensive tactics. don't just look to points, consider defense also.

then you should considere the teammates too, and yes the offense also affects rebounding at least in the rating(and the rebounding rating seems to me the most usefull Rating).

yeah i do understand that there's many things to consider, but what i wanted to say with that example is that it's not impossible that 250k won't perform better than a 500k player.

im not sure it's always right.

The point is that, the best players at some position(mainly big mans) are not affordable by the best teams because of salary formula, without losing competitivity

this again implies that the best players are the highest wage players, and BB-Patrick was saying you should separate this.

Now,you can say that you find this situation good or bad, explaining why with your arguments, but you can't escape from this starting point

i don't know it's good or bad.
