then i lost the game to the surging rat and in the same time downunder thunker threw the game with yarra park which i cant understand at all, don't they want 2nd seed, and suddenly i am 5th

yarra park has also now spent $1.3 million on some new dude so it loks like they are planning to have a shot at koop in the playoffs

I'm just trying to set my team up for next season. Not gonna threat the likes of DT, Razzle, and koop for another few seasons yet. Just trying to get a bit more balance and see how things go. Plus I slightly overpaid for that player I just got, cause I can never find anyone at a decent hour.

As far as the match against DT goes, I believe he Tied so it benefits him in the playoffs and also played different players then in his last match so game shape can be right. Will still get 2nd now if I can somehow beat RD. Razzle is still a tough team to beat, so you may still end up in 4th. Anyway, its that time of the season where people are doing all different sorts of things to try and get the most of their team for when it counts most.

I agree - it was more about managing players minutes and enthusiam. No hard feelings Goldy.
Even though i didnt put my strongest team in I still felt that I had a competitive team and they were for 3 qtrs. Its one of those lessons you learn about your team.

This season the seedings are still up in the air right until the last game of the season. The top teams have a real advantage as they can just sit back and watch the other teams beat themselves up. Because of that I am going to predict a Koop & Meat to be in the box seat. Are they the best teams though? We'll find out soon!

I am definitely not in the running for the best team... and fishy's salary table is clear evidence of that. I am where I am now on the ladder cos I didn't have the CUP games to deal with and I guess my team is playing above its weight.

I love how everyone in this league just tries to deflect the spotlight... it is clearly a DT versus Meteors grand finals. Yara park bears and razzle dazzle are also an outside chance.

Don't forget that with the salary table, one of my players is getting $169,000 a week.

Am I overpaying my centre LLanes?

The overall feeling is

It aint over until the fat lady sings!

I got smashed last time I went up, not sure if I have done enough to stay up IF I go up again....but the $ is good.

no, absolutely worth it holtz. from memory, inside was always your weaker area before you went up to the ABBL last time, so money well spent. especially in the ABBL with a guy like Rudolph Radford playing!

I am intrigued by Battlers use of Manovsky - clearly a good centre given the wage, but rarely rolled out for big minutes...could be the secret weapon. OR he is either weaker in one of rebounding, IS or ID maybe? either way, it will be Crocs or Holtz's problem to deal with next week!

I am hoping to reclaim 3rd, but am expecting Jeeves to try and go out with a bang in his final divII game for the season, so will need to be careful.

holtz to win it all. just in case i haven't said this enough!

already too excited for next season as it will be even closer than this one with several teams ready to take the step. Dell'Asta will be the player to watch. I'll call him the MVP for next season already!

I'm trying to slip ahead of Iwen in the draft standings so I'll be losing to you by as much as possible. Feel free to bang it inside against a couple of Lucky Fans defending at PF and C ;)

i was chatting with koop and if all goes badly this could be the confrence from hell next season

Koopasaurus going for it again
Razzle Dazzles tough and going for it
DownUnder Thunder already one of the top 3-4 teams
Yarra Park Bears even deeper
Ratman no longer tanking
Kynlala Knights no longer tanking
a relegated abbl like Lara Giants
and me the Melbourne Goldfish

ever seen a list like that? we really hope dt or someone can beat meaty

Just to set you straight Goldfish, I spent the money on Goodes and Abundis in preparation for hopefully winning my upcoming relegation matches and I still have exactly the same draft position that I had before I bought those 2 blokes ..... and I most certainly do not have deep pockets but this season will hopefully set the platform for some success in the future thanks to some very tidy trainees on the list.
..... and now you know my strategy ...... sorry for pulling your pants down last match ;)
