Congratz to Mizu and Joe for their wonderfull campaign in B3... Too bad they none has reached the finals but having two teams in the last 4 must not be usually seen in B3 ! The supreme title is not so far away...

The supreme title is not so far away...

it looks further than ever to me to tell the truth. that's as far as i'm able to go with my current squad and when you look at yesterday's result, i'm waaaaaaaaay below the required level. to have a shot at the b3 title, i have to find a completely different balance in the team, meaning replacing at least 2 players, means big money that i dont currently have... not to mention my aging squad. if i'm playing b3 next season, maybe i'll spend the money i have to have one last shot. but since i still think joe is killing me next saturday, i believe my best option will be to pipe down and get in line.

It s true that having seen Dyonisos stats, especialy the ones from its first PO round (16 shoot inside !!!!!!) , the final victory in B3 seems far but third and fourt on more than 40.000 managers, this is something to be proud of.... Well its just a computer game of course but anyway...

i noticed your aging squad too. imo players cn be held up to 32 and be sold with decent value up to 29/30y old. u got to make some decisions.

As for Joe, he's got the players to go futher. he's got the youth players that are still being trained ( Canipel ammongst others)n and he's got Belgium best 2 NT players in Mees and Vercaigne ( without mentioning belgiums best defensif SF ever to be seen in Backaert). Joe was able to field 6 NT players ( 7 if we count his Czech player, tho hes no NT anymore). Joe has got the team to go the distance and one can but wonder how things would have turned out if Vercaigne had not been injured 2 weeks ago which induced his horrible GS.

i got a feeling that Joe could beat Mizu as i predicted a couple of day's ago. the sad thing about that is that we'd only have on B3 representative, but the truth is that Joe's got a team that none can rival in Belgium. he's been kind enough to always go for the cup and leave the 2nd B3 spot to the 2nd best Belgian team, but i think we all know that Joe has got the best team of our nation.

Mizu's first title might have been one where Joe wasn't stronger than Mizu. but the past 2 season, i'm 100% sure that Joe could have won those titles had he focused on the league instead of the cup. As it stands now, Joe has a team to have a 22-0 season in the BBBL. that say's A LOT about his power. Mizu has the advantage of being the reigning champ, so teams always seems to throw the games against the reigning champ. But Joe has the strongest team. If both teams were in their best shape on all players, i'd put my savings on Joe's team, regardless of who has HCA. With Vercaigne not back yet for 100% and mizu having HCA, i think it should be a pretty balanced game. I'm still picking Joe as my winner tho.

Well some of my PO predictions appears to be wrong...

Mizu has lost and Ventola won't be promoted next season.... Leaving an opportunity to another lux team to reach the BBBL... Come on Omaha and Split 84... fingers crossed !!!

With Ventola and Angie out of next year promotion candidates, its seems that the strongest team from D2 to avoid next season wil be Revo... No offence to the other ones, it s just my thought, which has already appears to be wrong more than once in the past.

i'm surprized about Ventola and Angi. What happened their is a big upset. i doubt anyone saw that one comming.

As for those promotion. it's hard to say who's the stronger one and who isn't. nobody has checked all the rosters of the 8 teams that might promote, so i wouldn't say make a decision too fast just yet. nobody knows what the economies of the promoting managers are like, neither what they have trained, etc etc. (Not to mention that the finals still got to be played)

i find it amusing that some seem to think that my PO finals against TBS Wolves is already a fargone conclusion, where as i myself consider TBS a challenge.

The fact that Angi and Ventola aren't playing the PO finals just goes to show that anything can happen. one mistake on behalf of the tactical side or an injury and you've got an entire different PO series. I see atleast 2 teams who could rival my own squad ammongst those who could potentially promote, so declaring me to be the strongest looking team ammongst those who could promote is something which i would consider a hasty conclusion.

i might have had previous BBBL experience, which might give me an edge, but untill the PO series are over, i refuse to consider my team as a team in the BBBL. After seeing some inexplicable things this season, i don't want to jinx the GE by remotely suggesting my return to the BBBL and thus winning the II.2 title....

but i still voted... Vottem Cowboys. yes Joe, to me you are the favourite one. i know what your team is about, and you have money and room for improvement. your team is very tough to read and your stats do not reflect your real level.

so unless you want to go for the cup, you wont be far from a title this season! and the b3 schedule is not gonna slow you down.

this is what i posted on december 1st, before the start of the season. looks like i was right!

I didn't think i will reach it...with one injury and bad game shape, it seemed quite complicated...i though it was time for me to go back to 2nd division... But no..and so i can continue one of the only record that is not owned by Joe, i mean the longest longevity in BBBL with a 17th season in a row...
Sure that the best moments when i was 1st of Belgium are very faraway and the end each time nearer... But so it is...
Good luck to everybody for next season!

those were different times ;)

Back then, you could do it if you had 2 or 3 belgian star players. Nowadays, the BBBL lvl of competition is way higher. you can't be competitive with a 100% belgian team. Joe's team is the closest thing you can get to being full 100% Belgian team. He's got the best SF and PF of our NT, aswell as 2 guards who are worthy of competing for the starting job.

the thing Joe (and you before him) have proven is that investing in Belgian talent pay's off on the longrun. Joe's had an economical advantage in terms of merchandise on the whole BBBL because of his many NT players, and he kept on investing in Belgiums for the NT (he had Gilmont, then added Thys and Vercaigne. After that he took Mees, and now he's added Canipel and Backaert).

Not a single BBBL team has had so many Belgian NT players. That is why Joe has remained so good ( that and the fact that he's done clever investements on the TL).

btw, how many seasons was LoD in the BBBL. anyone know that?

"Only" 10 seasons in a row... But those were evenmore diferent times as you said ;)

Concerning Joe, the best decision he ever took has been to become Belgian NT Trainer... What allowed him to have full info about the best Belgian players and be the first to have it, and allow him to manage with the owners to buy it.... There started the great history of the cowboys and facilitating all you mentioned. Well done for sure!
