He is refering to Division I teams that do not have large arenas and depend on TV money. Other than tv money and larger arenas how is it that he would make so much more money than you? That is his point - if there is no advantage in TV money and he has the same a rean that a lower division team has then he is going to have a great deal of trouble under the new changes.

He never suggested that there are Div ! teams not currently making money, he suggested that there are Div I teams that may be in trouble when the changes take effect.

Exactement.
And he has proven my point - I play in a higher level league with (supposedly) higher quality. How do I afford that quality if I'm making the same amount of money the person above makes?

in my opinion would be great if the border for junior NT would be 22 years..

doesn't matter in which situation we are now - 19y drafts would have under U21 system only 3 seasons, which would destroy for junNT anyone who will be unlucky injuried in overall by these 3 seasons for a 2months and that sometimes happens

make from the injury a barier for a junior national team isn't good idea in my opinion

edit: in advance - we would not have anyone multiskilled.. 3 seasons are for a main skill only, Junior NT matches would be very poor and unvariable

There really isn't a "main skill" in BB.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

right .. 3 seasons it's a long time for training player .. in bb have very good players already at age 19 .. players are suitable to play at junior NT .. part of them even plays in the mature team ..

"junior" it's not age 22 .. in this age they has to be qualified to play in the mature ..
I think U21 it's reasonable to junior team .. not less, not more ..

I mean main skills, where have these behemots inside a passing, FT, driving etc?

should be junior NT only about behemots?

If you don't get the bonus for winning the championship now, you should (for one season) only have to give the percentage to the players union as if you were still in the same division.

So if a 2nd division team wins the champ'ship now, next season he'll only lose 25% of the arena income... This is necessary to be able to compete with the established teams in the first division...

Otherwise it's better to stay where you are for another season...

but as I'm not going to be the champ... it won't be a problem for me...I'll only earn 25% (and 300 000 TV money) less next season

cheers,

ebobo

I don't think the answer is to speed up the "end of the game." Players will eventually reach their peaks and decline, it is only seaosn 6, give it 4 more and you will see what they had been reaching for this whole time.

Right now, players don't start to decline until they hit 32 or 33. That's too old in my opinion. This basically means that you can buy a gifted 18 yr old draft and train him to god status and stop training him at around 23-24. Then you have a "god" for 8 seasons or almost 2 real life years. That sure gives them a lot of time to train / buy other "godlike" players. It also allows people to pile up the money because they rarely have to replace players.

It would also be more realistic for players to start slowly declining when they hit 28-29. How many 32/33 yr olds do you see who are still as good as when they were 27/28?

Anyhow, that's just my opinion.

what about kevin garnett (32) and ray allen (33)? or jason kidd (35)? steve nash won his secon mvp-trophy when he was 32.

my point is:
if you want bb to be realistic, then its ok if skill-drops start around 33, because in real life players usually are best around the age of 30.
but, since this is a game and not reality, it might be a considerable idea to make declining start earlier, even if i wouldn't like it... :)

I expect the potential caps will take care of the god-like problems and the idea is probably to have players with great skills instead of crappy ones.

Kevin Garnett - His minutes per game dropped last season after being pretty consistent through his career... And his average rpg and apg have been slowly dropping the last 3 seasons

Ray Allen - His PPG dropped to 17 last season after being pretty consistent over his career at 23-25. You have an argument here.

Jason Kidd - His PPG have dropped steadily since his career high of 18.7 in 2002-2003. Still, another good argument.

I don't really know basketball that well, so you may be right.
