Don't you think there is room for discussion between "crappy engine" on one hand and "take anything as it is" on the other hand?
Of course.
This game isn't going to grow without user input.
Several of the new features and improvements came from user-solicited suggestions.
However, that still doesn't mean we should have a game that's strictly better ratings = win.
With around 100,000 games or so a week being played worldwide, you're going to see some outlier results happen - it's just a matter of odds.
