+1. I wholeheartedly agree.

I don't think anyone is going to fire their trainees over this, a lot of the frustration in the posts is due to some of the stubborn provocation of others, and there are a few emotional reactions. I think when people come back to this thread in a couple of hours they'll think "wow, that was silly."

To be honest, whether we won or lost the world's game was irrelevant to me. Sure, I would've preferred that we won, but I was very happy that the USA made it to the championship for the third straight time, and even with a less than desired roster. I'm just happy that we've done such a good job as a country over the past several seasons, being very competitive with both Sr. and Jr. national teams. If we get a silver again this season, I don't think that's such a bad thing either, there's plenty of countries that haven't won anything at the international level. What we have is something to be proud of, and any arguments about winning or losing one game are rather silly.

TL;DR as an USA manager, I'm frustrated at some things that have been said, but I'm even more frustrated that we aren't appearing to be very thankful for the program and success that we've had and will continue to have, with or without Phyr.

Wow. This thread has blown up in more ways than one and at the risk of a hasty generalization, pretty much everyone who's posted in this thread has embarrassed themselves, myself included.

Thank you! +1 to you. I agree with everything you said even about myself lol. Sorry for bashing mangers and stiring things up. I'm just trying to back up Phyr and the off-site. Phyr doesn't deserve the the hate he is getting.

I don't think it's the offsite we necessarily need to back up. It's about backing up the team and asking good questions to find the right candidate.

The only knock against Phyr is that we lost the Finals basically because France's GDP tactics were better than ours. As manager Phyr takes the blame for that, rightly or wrongly. If you're one of the people who questions Phyr's competency because of that one incident, you should respect mine all the more.

Godbear blatantly misrepresenting Phyr, misrepresenting the US, and misrepresenting himself. I'm still not sure if his campaign is a joke but it's really not funny. He portrays Phyr as having lost a game we should have won. The claim that we should have won is more debatable than he seems to think; I don't think Godbear has any evidence to support his claim that we should have won other than this belief that since we're the US, we must have been better than France.

He also blatantly misrepresents the argument for Phyr as "because E.B.W. and Phyr say so" while ignoring Phyr's qualifications and everything he's done right to help the NT. And he talks about the USA as "my community" and such grandiose rhetoric, when the reality is, if the USA National Team is "his community", he hasn't shown any sign of it--has never said a word or lifted a finger to help at any point in the past.

Make no mistake that phyr was a big contributor in a lot of the GOLD seasons we have enjoyed recently. It is also undeniable that we are 0-2 with him driving the bus.
As far as my NT contributions, I'm not sure the need has ever been this dire. We can not let the current trend continue.

How do you plan to win? Without talking about last season, or anything that Phyr has done, how will you win? You still haven't explained that.
