That's not really going to help dragon feel better. It's now BB's second season since the match viewer replacement and it's still in a bad enough state for managers to lose games the viewer claims they've won?

Obviously this isn't on you; someone else made the spaghetti code for this viewer before you became a BB. But that does saddle you with the burden of trying to clean up this mess whilst the playerbase still has patience left to give.

Hi

I know you have a lot of major issues to fix before thinking about our personal home court design but do you think we will be able to watch the match with custom BBcourt soon ?

Thanks

I agree with Jay.
This match viewer is probably written in spaghetti coding, which is probably the reason why correcting the errors that are occuring take so much time to set them straight.
Also, the change with the adobe flash player was known long time before it actually took place, so why this wasn't better prepared from before, is something that really surprises me.

Let me be clear, i am pointing the finger to no one, because like Jay said, someone else made this spaghetti code already before certain people came in. But i can only imagine it must not be very structured coding, or else correcting the errors occuring in the match viewer, wouldn't take so much time, to set them straight.

I really love Buzzerbeater, as a game and as a community, and i sincerely hope these problems with the match viewer get fixed hopefully sooner rather than later.

I lost the game twice. Thinking of quitting BB now. That game was a farce. I had an equal if not better team. I had home court advantage and he had two of his starters injured for more than a quarter. Unbelievable and impossible that I should have lost that.

For future reference the match viewer actually has no effect on whether you win or lose. The game has already been simulated and the play by play is already set in stone. I am sorry for the bad viewing experience though. Hopefully we can continue to iron out these issues with the new viewer. Also if you notice something odd with the viewer, refreshing the browser may be a good idea to re-sync everything.

Firstly, I’ve been playing BB since season 14 so I understand enough of the GE to know the viewer is just that. However, if I’m watching the game via the viewer I expect to see a comparable game to the simulation already carried out. And yes, I refreshed many times. It didn’t prevent constant scoreboard fluctuations.

Like Jay mentioned, it’s not your fault and, despite my post-game frustrations, I won’t quit BB. Not even broken viewers can make that happen. It’s just frustrating that I finally decide to have a crack in div II (with this new team) and an important match doesn’t go the way i feel it should have.

But that’s life.

Performance is one of my major concerns with the MatchViewer, but some of the small cosmetic differences are less of a priority. We are limited by the amount of development resources we have and are trying to balance them across all projects.

The way the coding is written can heavily impact the performance, and if that's the case here, then that won't be changed overnight. So i would at least invest the same focus on the bugs that are being reported here, because they are currently taking a lot of the enjoyment away from watching games in the match viewer.
Some of them are mere cosmetic errors, but a lot of them aren't, and they should also be on your high priority list, imho.

Thank you for your understanding. I didn't intent to sound so harsh in my initial response. Performance is one of my major concerns with the MatchViewer, but some of the small cosmetic differences are less of a priority. We are limited by the amount of development resources we have and are trying to balance them across all projects.

All good. Thanks.
