I think they could add something like that to the season stats page. The risk, as i see it, is that some inexperienced users might be fooled by those numbers and end up getting robbed at the transfer market. The current ratings are not perfect but gives a better estimation of the players performance on court.
Well I don't think that rating system that we have now gives better estimation than Euro rating system. BB's have to change that because it's far from good...
I think the current is better for evaluating the strength of players, since it is heavily influenced by the skills of the players. The Euro rating system would give a better estimation of the opponents rather than the player himself. It would be fun however. Thats just my opinion.

why oyou have to put it in instead of the rating, why not add the "eff" to the existing stats.

this is a solution there everybody would be happy after all...

I would really like to see this next season as it should not be difficult to implement and as I wanna know each match MVP all the time. And this would save some server resources during update each off-season as we wont need MVP voting anymore. So every user would know why that and not other player got MVP award, course of everything will be clear and simple.

Having a game MVP would not make a difference with the season MVP whatsoever - they would remain different entities.

A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score

and why so? why just don`t give season MVP for the player having highest average eff through the season? That would definitely prove that he is the most effective player on the basketball court. But any way at least we could know MVP of all the most important tournaments finals and that would be cool as well as attractive especially for those statistics fanatics...

MVP isn't simply the best player statistically, here or in real life.

I`m not really sure how they choose MVP of the season in Euroleague, but MVP of the week is the player who scored most in eff.

But I think you agree that those MVP awards would create more fun for everyone. Those awards would decorate players history those I chosen for my hall of fame and all others too.

Are you sure, ain't it an decision of an commitee? So that big plays, or great defensiv effort also play a role. Stats play a role on it, but i don't think that they are going strictly by numbers.

just visit euroleague.net and you`ll see that MVP of the week is player who scored most on eff... It`s quite good way course they count all the aspects in that formula... So your defensive performance could as mach effective as offensive one... And if you show up strongly in both of them, so you are really effective player, not?
example:
Player A 20points and 2rebs eff=22
Player B 2points and 20rebs eff=22
Player C 20points and 20rebs eff=40

so I don`t agree that statistics doesn`t show how good are you at the court... In reality then you look not just to the numbers, so most of the time NAME or Nationality (depends on tournament) wins the competition...

statistics are an good indicator for the value of the player, but if someone made 3 steals and the other none are you sure he defend better outside? Maybe he calulated more on the steal, and his opponent get some easy basket because he had a bad position after failing in get those steal. You see such defenders from time to time, for stats they are good for teamplay i like the ones more who stay in position.

Player A 20points and 2rebs eff=22
Player B 2points and 20rebs eff=22

also some point where just rating eff are lame, i think 20 rebounds have more value then 20 points. Also often guards ahve lower eff values, because rebs are easier to get then ass.

Player C 20points and 20rebs eff=40

ok he made a hell of a game, not difficult to rule the concurrency with such stats he can not made that much wrong ;)

On euroleague page, i don't have to look if others maybe have good eff values or not, but i am pretty sure that this is not the only factor(winning plays normally a big rule in real life)
