FWIW, 4 of my 5 bigmen have strong+ in blocks, that resulted in my team being second with most blocks in the season. I don't agree that block skill is somewhat useless, but, I think that the block skill still has a limited role... and can never be (yet) a factor in winning a game... which is sad.

If you are right with your statement then this link is incorrect
http://buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thread=3944&m=1

Thx for the comment .
I always like to hear from GMs & experience player so that I can learn from them .
As a newcomer I will appreciate it a lot if you or other GMs can give me their opinion about the important skills not only for Centers but also for other positions too ...
Thanks in advance

This is a guide for new players, written by a game veteran. It's not part of the official game rules, and the assessment there is definitely subjective.

i think it should be pointed out there, too. Because this is one of the threads i really "hate" here, because i think on one hand he is "wrong" in several points and in the other hand it#s an sticky with the comment "newbies read here first". And if newbies rate IS as important then OD for their shooting guard, i am pretty sure they made an fault.

In the german community we let three experienced users made such list(LpunktElend made the first entry, GM_Acajou the second one, and myself the third one), the skillorder is the same like in Buzzerbeater so i think you could read it.

5 is good 1 is bad, should be clear.

Edit: You see we aren't everytime on one opion ;) And i could also say, that there are also different betwenn the BB communities, we germans like blocking pretty much.

well, you must take a look to the last two,I play with them in more serious games :)
but, when I say important, I don't mean that shot block skill must be at the same level that IS or ID ,it must be at a decent level.you say that 2 block's per game is not so important , but, in that order of thinking, we can say that FT also is not important, because a player will score 2-3-4 FT per game :) but when you play with a strong team, and every point is priceless, then this 2-3 block shots or FT can be very useful. And because this is a team game, in one match not just 1 player will make block shots, they will be more, and the same situation is with FT:). Like GM-Katchafire Collie said, right now the block skill still has a limited role, and it is not(yet) a factor in winning a game... but who knows what will be in the near future :)
this is just my opinion and it may be wrong :-P

the thing if you train one time shot blocking you get 2-3 ups, and pay higher salary if you train one time ft you get around 6 ups and don't have to pay more salary don't have to watch for minutes etc. So i don't say SB do nothing, but if it usefull like the other trainings? I think the margin of points you get/avoid per training is pretty low with SB compared to the other trainings.

yes, agree with you,the margin is pretty low,at this moment, but maybe in the next season something will change.
