No, because team training is wayyyyy too slow. Look at it this way: 3 players x full training = 3 full training for 1 position
For 2 position: 6 players x 70% training of 1 position = 4.2 players worth of full training.
For team training: 12 players x 15% training of 1 position = 1.8 players worth of full training. And personally I think that 15% is being generous.

So as you can see, 2 position training is the best for the team.

Upon what do you base your assumptions about the various training speeds?

I may be able to go along with 70% for 2 position, although how do you arrive at that precise figure, and not say 75% or 80%?

The team training figure also looks questionable.

Further, if you are going to allocate 3 players per position on the "specialist" trainings, then for the sake of fair comparison we should do the same with team training, which means 15 and not 12 players getting training.

They were just estimates. I made my estimate by looking at the training speed analysis thread and noticed that there isn't too much difference between 1 position training and 2 position training. Most estimates change by about a week.

The team training estimate was a complete guess. But I know managers that have tried it and they have said that it can take 4 weeks and more for a pop in driving and that is one of the faster skills. From this I deduced that the team training is very very slow per person. Maybe if I change the estimate from 15% to 30% that would be more accurate perhaps.

It is far easier to get 3 players 48 minutes each than to get 15 players 48 minutes each.
But lets consider 15 players x 30% of 1 position training = 4.5 players worth of full training. Still not as good as 2 position training and we are being quite generous with the figures here especially in getting 15 players 48 minutes each.

Not to mention that with team training it is hardly likely you are going to have a competitive team filled with youngsters.

Certainly 2 position training is much more worthwhile, I would agree. Just playing devil's advocate a little.

My experience after 6 seasons on the game, is indeed the 2 positions training is the best for a young team. Is the same route that i got too. Actually i started to train 1 position since the 2nd half of the last season, but again my team has great domestic success, and now i dont really need to fill any positions. I am on the process for upgrades. 1 player away to repeat my title, and i have plenty cash for that.

So in sum, if you are looking for team success your best bet is 2 position training. To chose 1 position should be 1)Have a player that can play on your NT, but you sacrifice the team development. 2)Be a team on a similar position like mine. Thats my opinion...

having 2 weaker players in 2 pos's , which doesnt matter as much the lower your div is, due to weaker teams.

If you want to train all your own players there will come a point where you will prob have to sacrifice a few games to train your guys for the future. I have noticed since I moved to div 3 this year I am making a ton more money than the other people in my league by looking at the average, but that should change because I am losing alot and I dont really have anyone to train atm and it is irritating me. So i either gotta find a player to train or save up cash to buy a good player.

Main thing that I didnt do soon enough was to decide on a training routine and stick with it.
