If that many get caught I wonder how many get away with it? How fun is winning and success when you know it isnt truly earned? I suppose if you cheat to get ahead then winning isnt your primary goal. To look important to a bunch of strangers? Heck, I dont know

Cheating is rampant on a societal level. At least in America. But aside from that...

Well there's only 1 online game I used to play (won't mention it). A really fun game & successful in other countries. However in America it's the opposite for some reason. By far the worst "community" I've ever seen. No exaggeration. Calling them a virtual cesspool would be kind. Anyway, about 80% of people that play ended up hacking. (As there's a weak hackshield but zero consequence to getting caught). & underneath all the constant lame insults & childish behavior, is an underlying theme of "e-gangstas" saying something like: "you [expletive] noob, you [expletive] suck. Go uninstall the game & kill yourself because you fail at life. suck my [expletive] [expletive]." Throw in a bunch of racism & whatnot. & keep in mind they're sadly being dead serious (not saying it in an ironic way). All over a basically a cartoon game.

Virtually all of them, besides being immature, are simply bitter, angry people with extremely low self-esteem / feeling of inadequacy. So yeah, in a way looking important to strangers plays a role. Needing to prove "I'm better than you" & even making up fake life stories. The amount of time & effort put into cheating is astounding as well. If only they'd apply that to their real lives...

I suppose you could take this further & say that in today's world substance doesn't even matter, only appearance does. But that would start getting on even more of a tangent.

I think a cheating team will get caught soon or later. Especially if they get too high in world ranking or country ranking.

I'm pretty sure about everyone in my country (or, at very least, my opponents) have checked my transfers when I became champion last season. Also, I'm doing the same now that another team is taking my place. And if anything is suspected, it is reported to local GM, which, in turn, will check in depth. I guess you get the point.

Most of the cheaters are probably down in Div.V and really can't make division I even with cheating.

as an instinct, most of the criminals return back to the crime area to check things..
i have caught many cheaters with this knowledge when i was a GM..
if a guy relegates just after promoting, he is a cheater %99 of the time..
i don't know why they sacked me though.. :/

I disagree with both statements. Most of the cheaters are not in DV, unless you count the feeder teams. If you think cheaters never prosper and therefore only the weakest newest teams cheat I think smelling salts are in order. Who needs to cheat to get past DV?

If a guy relegates after promoting he is a cheater 99% of the time? I think you must have worded that incorrectly because it makes no sense. I would say at least half of the teams that promote arent good enough to stay in the higher division and therefore relegate, how is this cheating?

^^ Tanking isn't exactly cheating. It's taking advantage of the rules. Maybe even to an unfair extent. But yes it's clearly and absolutely classless.
