The 18y old had these inside skills:

IS 7, ID 2
RB 5, SB 7

So he already brought his elastic effect from college.

The 20y old had these stats:

OD 13, HA 12
DR 13, PA 4

I don't know if 1 on 1 training was slower because of low PA. My theory is 1 on 1 somewhat speeds up especially OD and PA, and JR to a lesser extent. I haven't noticed though 1 on 1 is slower if HA or DR are 5-6 levels above OD/PA. 20y old was trained in such a way that HA was never more than 3 levels above OD. He also popped 3 times in OD in 4 weeks as a 18y old (probably had high sublevel also).

Now I always start with at least 3-4 weeks of 1 on 1 on my 18y old guards and then continue with OD. Same training plan are using all 18y Slovenes from this draft (I was recently elected as our country's U21 manager). Well, at least those who agree with such plan. The "products" can very well be seen on players like (21392088) and (114369). For reasons you probably know, I can't give away their skills right now.

My player Dean Polh was also trained in such a way, and at end of his 20 years he had these skills:

JS 12, JR 12
OD 14, HA 12
DR 13, PA 11

So 74 skill points in outside skills, which seems pretty good to me. I have to say though he started with all six skills at respectable except for JR which was Average.

Thanks for sharing LA-Koperboy! Very interesting results.

Your 20 yo is one of the better documented PA elastic effects I've seen. The link to HA and DR seems very plausible too, given those are secondaries in PA training. I personally haven't used the 1v1 weeks to start a trainee's career, but it's not a bad idea. I typically just rotate training every week, and try to get PA up quickly. Makes the trainee a little less painful to play at PG in Cup games if they can get a bit more PA.

Great results on those players though. Can't argue with that!!

Thanks again.

No problem man, we have to share the knowledge!

I'll have to say though those 7 weeks of PA weren't consecutive. 6 yes, then four weeks of 1 on 1 and JS, then PA again. Maybe some of cross training from 1 on 1 and JS went to PA and he barely touched the next level of skill. But cross training effect during those four weeks is so small it can be easily disregarded.
