Sorry Mangos, I have a tougher Cup match-up this week. I didn't think you were going to use a normal effort and full squad. I hope I get by on the Cup game and it was worth the hit in my points diff.

Makes no difference to me. I have a bot in the cup and a fairly easy draw next week.

No more Hippos, but you scored Many Men and Mangoloids are no slouch either.
Could be an interesting one for you guys.
My team is looking good so far.
sitting 4 - 0 and on top of the Blue side.

No good for old Hippos and Skyhooks in the Cup tonight...
Well done III.12, only 1 team knocked out, which was always going to happen, otherwise a clean round.

Hey mate,
It is pretty tough in Div III, period, for a brand new team. If you are looking at long term playing this game, you could drop a division and play 2 seasons, then be back competing.
Don't get discouraged if you take some hits.

thanks for the encouragement. I got thumped at home playing crunch time to the team directly above me - definitely going to relegate. Good to find out early though, I guess.
Any advice for player training? I was going to try and get some respectable players (aged 23-28) and train them in stamina & FT, looking to save cash on a trainer and wages. I figure they will be decent enough backups in a few seasons when I can afford some better players and a good trainer to focus on skills.
congratulations on your road OT win tonight.

Hi jake, welcome to the league.
IMO one of the best ways to start as a new team is to buy some young trainees with at least allstar potential and train the life out of them for at least 2 seasons.
Don't buy new players for this season as you will demote. Make some decisions once you see your div 4 opponents next season
Good luck
Tills
