Except for my first season, I generally refrain from posting in other country's forums, but it felt right to extend my congratulations today. I remember your struggles last season; since you were in our group, I followed your forums closely and had something of a soft spot for your U21 team that had an underwhelming team then, but an enthusiastic coach and U21 players on the rise. It kind of reminded me of my first two seasons, where I had to pick up remains of our imploded U21 squad, left for dead by our previous U21 manager, and grind through two seasons as an underdog and picking up huge wins like this against Portugal (22121), for example. At that time, we had lots of luck with game shape, while they struggled with it quite a bit; yesterday, it felt like we were that Portuguese team with our leading center coming from injury and some other players out of U21 because of bad game shape.

So this season, suddenly we are "favourites" and you are the underdogs who beat us. Yesterday's atmosphere in our forums and chat was understandably grim, but we are looking forward to win out and do some noise in the playoffs. I wish you all the luck and further success with your squad!

Very classy response to what must have been a difficult defeat. Hopefully you can return to form, thankfully now that our game is out of the way.

Great win on the road Coach. Sadly I was unable to see the end. I was removed from the arena in the last minute, I'm sure unconnected to my sarcastic wave as one of their starters fouled out. Two large Peruvians, who claimed to be security, but weren't wearing uniforms, threw me out, right next to what looked like a stand selling fried guinea pig. Ugh.

Anyway, really good team performance against a team putting in extra effort at home and playing 2-3 as well. Explains why they were able to stay with us throughout, but every time they came back, we just kept doing enough. Wouldn't like to single anyone out today, a whole team doing their jobs. Well played.
