#1 Training process could be faster/involve more players(full team development)
#2 We could restrict activity less for non-profiters. Giving them more flexibility would help. Part of creating that flexibility is having a more active market- so they have more options.
#3 Better price control on the high end. Leaving options way out of reach just ends in overbids and/or people giving up because they see listed prices as must pay, or listed prices are must pay since there are so few listings anyway (kinda compound issue with #2)
#4 Faster seasons- I kinda think this game should move faster. 3 months for a season is long in the modern gaming world IMO. I think the pace is just too slow for a younger generation/most people out there. Especially when you can take multiple seasons to accomplish something like develop a player from 18 to star. I think seasons should only last a month, and maybe even have more games in them, larger leagues etc....
Obviously the game can't be just entirely redesigned...but a way of condensing seasons to make them faster (kind of opposite of OP) might make the game much funner/more popular/more palatable for todays gaming audience.

My 2 cents:
1 - I don't see the point of making training faster, it will only lead to even more hyped prices för the high-end prospects, since everyone could easily "cap" a MVP at a low age, that means you can keep that player for 7 seasons before he starts dropping in skills. So who is going to buy all those players that are being trained fast, when you can keep your own players for nearly a decade?

2 - I don't understand this at all. What!?

3 - You mean a better "price estimate" on players? SInce there is so many different builds, comparing prices IS difficult, but it could probably be a little bit more tuned. Everyone would like this I believe.

4 - Making a season faster, change pace of training, match-days, making the league larger IS re-designing it completely. And you say it best yourself:
Obviously the game can't be just entirely redesigned...

But then its not "faster" training. Only the season is "faster". Quite a difference.

But IF you could/would speed things up a bit...
(Today: 22 games, 3 week postseason, total 16week season.)

If you squeeze in a third leagugame during the week(Gamedays: Sat,Mon,Wed and keep cup/scrimmage on Thu and NT on Sun, BB on Tue. Training and Private on Fri), that could give us the following:

* Offseason 1w, scrimmage on Thu. First game Sat, 7 weeks with 3 leaguegames each. One leaguegame is replaced by ASG."Postseason" with Last leaguegame, QF and SF in first week, F1, F2 (and F3) in second week. = 10 weeks. No dramatic change in other formats.

* A bigger league, say 10 teams in each conf. 28 leagugames with the same format as the first example, only 2 more weeks added.

BUT it will affect alot of other things to:
- Training, adds 48min in one-pos-training, train one more player? (or 2 more with 2-pos and so on...)
- Trainingspeed? Need to increase or is "extra" trainigspot(s) enough?
- Gameshape? Needs to be tweaked. You need your starplayers in 3, maybe 4 games a week!(NT+BBB+Privat not included)
- Rostersize?
- Income will increase with one more game a week? Adjust Ticketprices?
- Playersalaries need adjusting?
There is probably more things that need tweeking like merchandise, fan surveys... and probably even more that I cant think of now...

So its not just "add 6 games to schedule" and press "compile new season".

I agree to some extent that a season might feel very long if you are tankning (been there, done that, not doing it again!), in a very difficult division or stuck with bots or even a noob(been there too;) ).
BUT the game is more faster-paced than a lot of other Online-managergames already.

what manager games are slower than BB?.?!?

Hattrick (1 league game in week)? And despite of that it's still believed to have 275k users - it shows, that faster game tempo doesn't have to make a game much better. In fact, many managers aren't active enough to open the game once per day; what is more, some active ones sometimes forget to choose a line-up for the next game. Guess that most of them won't suddenly start being active only to say there "the game is too fast"...

I would be in favor of more games per week, faster training and shorter (in real time) seasons.

Offseason is a huge drag, if your team does not get far in the playoffs.
