I always struggle to buy guards with JR and, in the recent past, I had no chance of training JR directly. I had to adapt, but I agree with you, it is an important skill, especially after the game engine changes.

In this particular type of player, I would love to have it but with this cap space there's no (or little) chance of training it.

kind of off topic, but am I the only one that hates guards with no jr?

Seems like its hard to find a guard with a trained up jr nowadays as well; and they go for big big bucks when you find one

+1
This is really annoying.

The thing is, it takes a long time to train JR, plus JR when combined with JS and OD becomes very costly salarywise very quickly, and it only takes OD to stop outside shooting, and you can get a metric buttload more driving, handling and inside shot on a player with very high OD for less salary and quicker training than it would take to do even close at JS and JR. So the number of people who have guards with high JR is very small, and usually only crazy folk like me.
