I disagree with your first sentence. A franchise player is not the best player of the team, it's a player you can build a team/franchise around. There aren't 30 of them (LeBron James, Kevin Durant and a few others). To me, a franchise player is well above MVP or HoF.

I understand your point and I agree that potential is not a role. Being the league MVP needs a very high ceiling.

If this was the NBA, you'd be right, to win an MVP requires a higher level of play than it does to make the Hall of Fame.

However you have to remember this is BB we're talking about. In BB, there are tons of leagues and each of these leagues has an MVP every season, even bot leagues. On the other hand, not many players make the Hall of Fame (only supporters can put players into the hall, and they usually don't nominate many players).

Well, if you go this road, div.IV Hall of famer aren't that good neither.

Is there a Hall of Fame for every division? We have several divisions in Czech Rep., but just one HoF (I mean IRL).

In BB, the MVP award isn't that valuable except in high leagues. Most players that win MVP are in bot leagues and not very good.
