Thanks, now that you've rested the reputation of the NBBA on all the B3 teams from the US (me), this should be fun.

After taking a closer, yet brief, look at the Serie A have to give the advantage to their conferences based on team ratings from recent playoff and end of season games. Not a huge advantage, but noticeable.

But, thats just team ratings, not overall team health and one big thing that stands out is the difference in arena size. Big 8 from the NBBA has an average arena around 16k (14.5 w/o JuicePats massive arena), while the Big from Serie A is around 10k. That's around 1.5m of additional funds the US big 8 has invested over our Italian counterpart.

Also, 1.5m wasn't a huge amount of money last season, it wouldn't even add a good backup then. But, with the recent changes, assume the value of every dollar/euro just doubled, which means the cost to expand to similar arena's bascially just doubled, and 1.5m should get you a much better player this season then it did last season.

We'll see how things line up by the end of this season, I think the edge to the Serie A conferences will be smaller, if at all, when season 7 starts up.

I now fully expect Drunkers and Stella Rossa to obliterate me if we happen to meet.

Everyone also Italian knows that the strongest conferece in Italy II.3 est. In serie A people speaks about beer and womans in II.3 est there is the real game

wow a true mens thread. Always comparing the size of something. first the US stated they have the longest..ah I mean strongest division in the world. then Italy claimed to be the one and then the US was looking for somethin else were the can compete AND hey... they have longer arenas..aeh...bigger Arenas.

but then again what about the arenas in good old Germany, they are even longer. I believe Germans have the longest....

aight..but in few minutes you get a statement from one guy from the "best league" that we "overbuild" our arenas!!..count the minutes..tick tack tick......

Italy in last BB3 cup had two of four best team and the winner...

worked up some bbstats to add some numbers to this debate. rated all the teams ratings though 6 rounds of league play and here's the results:

Conference bbstat
Serie A Great 8: 95.0
NBBA Big 8: 93.2
Serie A Big 8: 92.3
NBBA Great 8: 88.6

Serie A Great 8 was about even with NBBA Big 8 and Serie Big 8, but had huge ratings in round 5 (team rating of 106.6). That resident JanItor pointed out that his Serie Big 8 has two teams in the B3 thru 3 rounds, while NBBA Big 8 had 1 team for 2 rounds.

BBstats are just unweighted sum of valuations on team ratings. For example:

atrocious (low) = 1
atrocious (medium) = 2, etc..
