It's more like a house of cards, my team's maxed out to their potentials and just about peaked. Prob only down from here, esp. after stogey finishes off training the best group of gaurds I've ever seen and adds a stud big man.

Says the 4 time tournament champ, multi season NBBA champ.....

That is one big house of cards that is stuck together pretty good from our view - you really can buy your way out of trouble.

Eh, they still don't mean much unless the new game engine evens out the inside-outside imbalance.

They are fun to look at though.

I'm with DFC. That's one of the funniest things I've read in these here forums. For one, as if having a whole team of maxed-out players was a real problem, and for two, as if there weren't the ability to flip those multi-million players for elite prospects at any time. Yeah, if you keep away for the TL list for the next five seasons, you'll be in trouble. But since you won't, the future for your house of cards looks pretty solid.

As for this draft class, it looks 19yo-heavy from my scouting too. I went 40k/week for most of the season, and that certainly looks like a mistake. I did scout one 18yo who looks fantastic, though. If he falls to me, it will've been more than worth it.

The problem is i continue to waste training on players that are done, and that I can't improve players I put alot of effort into finding and building up. True that I could sell off half the team and start over.

edit - back to the draft. oh right, the draft is lame

eh for those of us without untold millions, a 75%ish winning record and a team that averages like 50k a week per starter, yeah it sucks. For the rest of the league it actually is a way to get a player that can help in the future. Yes we all know you don't need the draft. Congratulations. Moving on?

Anyhow with my pretty high draft pick (4th I think) I should get one of my top two kids, both 18 one with 5 star potential, one with 4. Either one will be a good start on next seasons training. Now I can only hope for a ridiculous name like Will Smith.

You have the 3rd pick, I'm 4th. I think I've convinced myself to rank my 2 unknown 5 star dudes ahead of everyone else, which is terrifying.

Well if I picked 16th every season, I would think so too......

I was looking forward to the draft mainly because I have never been able to select what I want.

The downside is I don't have enough information to make the best choice. Such is the life when you don't make the full investment. But then I didn't expect to be in this position at the beginning of the season and tried twice to get out of it. Ah well, I will be back with some better players. How long depends which division I get exiled to.

Any thoughts as to which one is the best one/worst one?

Well, looks like I got my (reluctantly) #1 pick. He had 5 stars, A+ grade, and 4 star potential, but that whole pesky 19 year old thing is a bit annoying. At least he's super balanced!

Point Guard
Gerard Pappas (9207486)
Weekly salary: $ 5 091
DMI: 0
Age: 19
Height: 6'1" / 185 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: respectable

Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: average
Driving: respectable Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: mediocre
Rebounding: atrocious Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: respectable Free Throw: strong

Experience: atrocious

I'm kinda curious to see what the stats were on the two 5 star SGs that I didn't have a 2nd scout on, wonder if they were any better than Pappas.

I'm not entirely upset with this, having paid $0 for scouting.
