Always less than investing in non trainable players, which is almost always an investment with a negative Net Present Value

if you start earlier, you get back your investment earlier ;)

Yeah and it will take a while before i get the money back, bt with the extra income i could build my arena, and when i look at that list i should be in the list of the ten most exppensiv arenas^^

It's not that hard to calculate. There are 11 home games per season, and each seat costs 20 times the default ticket price (10-35-100-800).

If you build one bleacher seat at $200 and charge $12, you will make your money back in 1.5 seasons.

it is not that easy ;)

The formula is like that:

X*((seatsell*new Ticketprice) - (oldseatsell * oldticketprice)) >= investment cost

where X is the unknown factor who determines the needed home games, normally the selled bleachers are also mostly unknwon which makes it not to an exact science.

Obviously there's that, but I was going for simplicity, assuming you were selling out all seats and not changing the ticket price. You'd also have to consider added revenue in any playoff games.

in this topic it is about huge arenas, and their profit with low prices ;)

And the lower the prices was, you need more time till you get back your invested money - and he asked if the time is still reasonable.

For PO you could count 2/3 of it and it was ok, but you have to be lucky with your assumptions - maybe it is getting a bit more complicated through the fee's who don't affect PO games, but i believe next season there are no fees anymore.

Here is a realistic example for you.

Starbucks coffee is the 5th largest known arena in the BB world. There are 27,239 bleacher seats which sell for $11 a piece for a total of $249,629.

The Gachai Municipal Buffalo Rodeo Arena has 21,000 seats at $16 for a total of $336,000.

i think the examples we are giving already defines what we mean.

but overall, we should try at least to be accurate in the numbers we are giving, because looking at my team i try as much as possible to increase my capacity every year i also have to lower my prices by 1 or 2 at the bleachers and around lower 1-2 digits numbers on the high seatings.

but at the end of the day im getting more money on my new arena capacity than what i was making on my old arena capacity.

im just saying at least we should try to be the most accurate so we dont mislead others.

Why not just change to MOST ARENA REVENUE THREAD.

What does a full house actually give someone and are you actually getting a full house.

Perhaps the average of your last 3 games. Becasue 35,000 bleachers at $9 is not as much as 20,000 at $16.

Big is not always the most profitable!
