I'm kinda deciding to sell Holicky or La Sala. At first I thought Holicky would be easier to sell at a decent price and then replace him with a 24/25 year old. That hasn't been so easy. Now after putting Sapsay out, I've opened the door to keep Holicky and use him as a PG/SG back up once I purchase a gun PG down the line. If Nabergoj sells then I'll look at a similar replacement but younger and more suited to my teams needs. I won't be too disappointed if he doesn't go at his current price though. Just don't like having 28+ in my team.
Should have a good lump sum by the season's end even if neither La Sala or Nabergoj sell. Then I can really hit you guys hard in season 17!!! :-D

Ah Beechy is just so unbeatable for me. I just can't ever get him. I don't understand it. I know he has been playing forever and is an awesome player but why is he so unbeatable for me?
If I look at our rosters he is 64, 58, 45, 39 and 30. I am 67, 43, 41, 36 and 34. Looks very even. I don't know if his players have good secondaries or not but with 2 exceptions mine have great secondaries and should perform much better than their salaries suggest. One big negative perhaps for us was we had our 20 year old trainee training this match, but it is like that most games for us this season.
If I look at game shape he is - top 5 2 proficient, 2 strong and a respectable. I am 1 proficient, 3 strong and a respectable. Fairly even.
For enthusiasm I had TiEd every game but one for the entire year but one against a special person so he couldn't be much better than me.
Four game enthusiasm I put in more effort.
Game is at my arena.
Tactics I beat him playing LI to his 3-2 while I was even hitting his motion with m2m.
Every single thing I can look at is even or in my favour. So why does he slaughter me? Obviously I have a lot more rebounds and assists but when my teams shoots we just miss, every time. 0 made 3 pointers for the game while he makes 9. Great player, obviously great team, but I just don't get how my team simply isn't even close to his when in every measure I can possibly find we look fairly similar.
Beechy, you own me!

I know what you mean. I have a theory but I could be wrong. I spent my first 4-5 seasons in this game not really bothering to work out how to play it but I am starting to get well sucked into it now, so don't take this as gospel as it is just my thoughts. Opinions are worth nothing.
If I had to give an answer as to why I would say it is because he has a gun SF. I think it is the most important position in the game as it allows you to play any offensive / defensive tactics. Also the 2 players defending your Look Inside were his proficient game shapes. One of them was against your respectable GS.

I certainly don't own you Yoda but I think Moosa is onto something with the SF theory.
I've always had a pretty good SF which probably is why I'm always there abouts at the end of season ... mind you I cant wait for the day I get to play him at SF on offense consistently .... god damn PG training.
That said, it gets pretty tiring when you get close so often but never win it all.
It is my own fault. Spent on players rather than stadium which consequently means I can't afford the 'difference maker' player.
Have started to get the stadium up to scratch this season. Don't think I'll be promoting this season. There'll be someone that will buy up big come playoff time to nail me yet again.

Well a good SF is impossible to find. For three seasons I tried to replace my "original" season 10 SF. He had prominent OD and strong ID and was nothing special. He always had a TPE of about $2-300,000 yet every time I tried to search for a guy who was even one point better than him they started at $600,000 and usually had some horrible flaw. A team that has a gun SF is a team that has a future.
Even with an Aussie team, an original player, a draft pick playing big minutes and a high level PR man I am not making that much money. Once I sell off my sucky extra cup big men I will be a little better off but not much.
I am in your situation a little now having 3 young guys taking the PG training and it is killing me. I really want to drop one from the rotation but the choice is impossible.
Mu is already a solid SG backup and *might* be on the Aussie U21 team next season.
Barton is the PG I have always wanted, he has sensational passing already at age 20 and by the time I finish training him I hope it will around at least prodigious, not that hard really just catching the OD up now. Young and superstar potential he can become the future star of the team.
Then there is kumar 18 year old superstar. He will be the first trainee I will feel will be completly moulded by me and can become the exact sort of player I want. I always do one week of cross training a season - trivial I know - but over the next few seasons he will et at least some boosts to his not bad starting inside skills.

I decided part way through last season that SF was the most important player. I am training only this position from now on as I agree they are impossible to find. When I have 3 of them then I can sell one of them for a small fortune.

I find PG's are also expensive to buy. There are always a lot of SG's on the market but u have to really pay for a great passer.
