Despite your loss I reckon there were more positives out of the game for you than there was me

i think he was being sarcastic.
ive seen some forum discussion about mis-calculated home game ticket sales and such happening in the first game, i think similar problem happened two seasons ago in the first game and they sorted it out with some 'GM-Fines' positive income. ??

so i think similar thing is happened first round this season..... , I can only assume that the TV income is also part of this problem.

I remember reading somewhere that TV income factors in the strength of the league

maybe we all have lower salaries this season, and thus tv income is affected?

TV Income is based on salaries of all combined teams in the league at start of season. If there are tankers/weak promotees it will go down.

oh wow, cool learn something new hoorah.....
i never knew that. i thought it was standard across the leagues. well scratch that comment about the bug being related to tv contract.
that would suggest our league has a lower average team salary at the start of this season, compared to last season? hmmmm... not sure about that?

ohhh actually, now i think about it.... Vios + Snuffies + Northcote all bought up big in the previous previous season (season 19) before Crocker bought up bigger again.... and as such those 3 teams still had the large salaries coming into the season 20...and they sold off a few games into the season.... which would make sense with the calculation. plus we had All-sorts, yourself lordy all with decent salaried teams etc.

so yer. that would make sense now.
Doesnt mean we have a weak league... the salary average of the teams at the time of calulcation is less than at that same time in the previous season. So think of last year as bonus money :)

After 2 games, it appears the three new teams are enjoying their new surroundings in the Great 8. Currently they are placed 1, 2 & 3. Will really see who's made of the good stuff as Clips play both the Razors and Players in the next 2 games.

HA probably not enjoying his new home quite as much, after throwing one game and narrowly avoiding disaster in the 2nd. Still stand by my word that you aint seen nothing yet!

The Linguists are making a bit of noise early into the season, though one would think last game's CT will put some hurt on them for coming games. Expect a TIE game to come.

The Vipers also look to be capitalising early on, banking a win against an early favourite and impressive looking newbie Awesome.

Hadders continues to appear dormant and looks a certainty to only maintain this season, again. Look out next season after Hads buys in late to help avoid relegation and prepare for a title run in season 22.

The Moose on the other side, will need to make up some ground after dropping two games to teams now likely to be battling him for his beloved 5th place.

A number of teams sitting middle range and no doubt yet to make any real moves after "tanking one, playing the other". Will get a clearer picture as teams start dropping out of the Cup and concentrate on their league games.
